Abelia House is a romantic hideaway, owned by Kate and David and is situated just 5 minutes from the centre of Byron Bay by car and 10 minutes from the old heritage town of Bangalow. It is set amid the quiet and tranquil beauty of Woodlands Sanctuary on 100 acres of stunning forested bushland, away from the frenetic pace of Byron Bay. All rooms have air conditioning and feather toppers on bed mattresses for the ultimate in sleep comfort as well as feather pillows.
Woodlands is home to a rich variety of flora and fauna, with Wallabies, Koalas and many rainforest birds. There are several beautiful walks on the property through the forest, or if you feel like relaxing there is a large shady veranda on which to sit and enjoy the quiet beauty of your surrounds.
A lovely home made healthy continental breakfast is served to your room every day.
Check in is from 3pm up until 7pm, if you would like to check in later please let us know in advance. Queensland is one hour behind NSW from 7 Oct to 7 Apr 2018
As we are a quiet and romantic location we do not accommodate children of any age or any pets, sorry. There are also no TVs and no smoking in the rooms.
Byron Bay offers safe beaches, great surfing, natural beauty, many cafes and restaurants, lots of yoga classes, markets and so much more.
There is an excellent golf course close by.
****** Please Note - Google maps, Apple Maps and Tom Tom all direct you THE WRONG WAY if coming from the north, DO NOT go via St Helena Rd off the B62. Instead you follow signs to Byron Bay and turn left into Ewingsdale Rd straight off the Pacific Highway, (A1), and head into Byron Bay and then follow the map. ******

Payment may be taken at time of booking or at any time before check in date. Please make sure you have enough funds in account to cover full cost of booking.

Up to 30 days before, no cancellation fee
After 30 days before 100% of fees may be charged.
Amendments to bookings are sometimes possible, please enquire.

Change of Date Policy

More than 30 days out from your booking no charge for changing.
After 30 days and up to one week before your booking there is a $50 fee for date changes.
Less than one week before your booking you will be charged the full amount of your booking.
If you would like to change the dates of your booking with us you should contact us straight away and let us know what you wish to do.
You then have one week to rebook within a two month period from the date of the original booking. If the room is more expensive we will need to charge your credit card the extra amount.
