Walks along the river, reading a book on the banks of Rainbow Creek, having a picnic in the paddock, marvelling at the countless stars on a clear night or just putting your feet up by your own fire pit are some of the ways you can take in the fresh country air.
But while you might feel a thousand miles away... we are not. Just 5 km from Heyfield, Abington Farm is right in the heart of Gippsland. Both Traralgon and Sale are half an hour away with the delightful Maffra and Tinamba even closer. The old gold mining town of Walhalla is only an hour away while for cyclists there is the Rail Trail and Blore Hill Mountain Bike Tracks. There are plenty of walking trails for all levels of walkers and hikers, and all of this is just two and a half hours drive from Melbourne CBD.
