Terms & Conditions

By making a reservation You agree to accept, without qualification or limitation, all the Terms and Conditions as set out herein. The property reserves the right to alter, change, remove and/or replace any terms, conditions, offer, promotion and/or program at any time without notice.

All rates are GST inclusive and are in New Zealand dollars ($NZD). We accept payments by internet banking, Visa and MasterCard.

Pets
Aquarius Motel provides pet friendly accommodations. Please contact directly to check the room availability. It is only available by arrangement.

Age restriction
Guests must be a minimum of 18 years of age or be staying with a parent or legal guardian unless prior arrangements have been made.

Check-in
Guaranteed check-in time is 2pm. If arriving prior to this time we are happy to hold your bags for you until your room is available. If you require a room prior to this time, you will need to reserve it from the previous day.

Check-out
Check-out time is 10am, and apartments must be fully vacated by this time. If a guest wishes to extend their stay, they must confirm availability the day prior, and may be required to move rooms. Any personal belongings left within the room after check-out time, will be removed and stored. Late check-outs may be available only when room availability allows. Please contact Front Desk prior to check-out to confirm a possible late check-out.

Code of conduct
In the interests of all guests in Aquarius Motel ask that you remain conscious of other guests trying to rest. After 10pm, we ask that no visitors are inside rooms and that noise is kept to a minimum (no music or radios). Aquarius Motel reserves the right to refuse entry and/or request termination of booking without refund regarding disorderly conduct.

Damage
The person listed on the booking is responsible for any charges incurred due to any damage, breakages or soiling of property.

Lost property
Personal Effects left in apartments, are held ‘on-site’ for a period of 60 days and if not claimed or returned within this period, the effects are disposed of. While full care is taken in the handling of Personal Effects, Aquarius Motel accepts no responsibility for any damage caused in transit. If you have left behind any Personal Effects, please contact the property to confirm items, before we can ship them back to you (courier charges apply).

Luggage Storage.
While full care is taken in the handling and storage of luggage, any luggage stored is done so at the risk of owners. Aquarius Motel accepts no responsibility for any damage caused to luggage in storage.

Privacy policy
Your details are securely stored for the purposes of internal guest profiling and will never be shared with any 3rd parties, for a profit or otherwise. If we ask you for your email address it is for the purpose of sending you a confirmation of your booking, and to send you a letter confirming your check-out with a guest survey, and by accepting our terms and conditions you agree to receive promotional emails from time to time, if you wish to stay off this list, please email us.

Security Bond / Credit Card Charge
Guests will be required to present valid photo identification and a valid credit card on arrival to cover the cost of the booking, any incidentals incurred and/or any damage caused by you to your room (fair wear and tear excepted) during the stay. Guests unable to provide a valid credit card will be required to make a NZD$200 cash bond on arrival.

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in motel rooms. Smoking in rooms will incur a $150+ charge. Any guest who smokes in rooms are liable for fumigation costs and any costs of fire service call outs. Any guest caught tampering with smoke detectors or sprinklers will be evicted immediately.

Payment Policy

All guests are requested to pay their account in advance or on check-in. Guests who have approved Account Facilities are exempt providing their agreed Terms and Conditions are met in full.

Cancellation Policy

Peak Season
20th Dec - Easter Monday. We require a minimum of 7 days' notice prior to the date of arrival for all cancellations or amendments to accommodation reservations.

Off Peak Season
Easter Tuesday - 19th Dec. We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice prior to the date of arrival for all cancellations or amendments to accommodation reservations.

Failure to provide the specified notice or no-show will result in you being charged a one night's accommodation cancellation fee. For Christmas and New Year season (from 20 December - 10 January), you will be charged the total fee.
