We offer a small intimate resort that focuses on simple home comforts and fantastic service. We are located on the more tranquil North-East side of the island, opposite the best snorkeling and sunbathing beach and just a five-minute walk from the main restaurants and bars.

We have Pool View Rooms and Garden View Rooms, all tastefully decorated and surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens. We also offer our guests the exclusive use of our fresh water swimming pool (a rarity on these islands!), as well as our own section of the beach overlooking the other Gili Islands and Mt Rinjani.

All of our bungalows have air-conditioning, king-sized double or twin beds, hot fresh water showers, movie library, mini-fridges, tea and coffee making facilities, Balinese-style outdoor bathrooms, in-room safety deposit boxes, and spacious balconies in which to relax.

We also have a small café, open daily from 7am to 4pm, offering a range of freshly baked baguettes, healthy hearty salads, delicious seasonal juices and natural yogurt smoothies, all made using the best locally sourced ingredients.

Terms & Conditions

On site we accept card payments (Visa or Mastercard) and cash in IDR only.

Please note: we will charge an additional Rp300,000 per person per night, including children aged 3yrs and over, should there be extra guests arriving upon check in. The total number of guests must not be more than the number indicated on your confirmed booking. Any more than three guests per room will require another room (subject to availability).

Payment Policy

Terms of Payment & Deposit Requirement:

Direct bookings via our website booking facility require a 50% deposit to be paid to secure your reservation. We will contact you directly to arrange the payment.

Reservations made through Expedia have been paid in full prior to arrival.

Booking.com Customers: If you have not already prepaid for your reservation, we do require full payment upon check-in.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation & Deposit Policy:

If your booking has been made via a third party, please refer to the cancellation policy in your booking.

For bookings made directly with Bale Sampan Bungalows:

*Guests may cancel free of charge until 8 days before arrival. Full refund (less any bank charges).
*Guests will be charged 50% of the total price if they cancel within the 7 days before arrival. Partial refund (less any bank charges).
*If you cannot travel on your chosen travel dates due to Coronavirus then we will reschedule your booking for another time up to December 31st 2023. Subject to availability and rate differences.
*Any reservation changes made after check in are charged in full.
*No shows are charged in full.

We are not liable for cancellations due to travel delays or weather conditions but can provide a letter for your travel insurance.
