Terms & Conditions

We welcome you to our home. Just a reminder that Beverley House and Lauralla are Old historic Homes We hope that you have booked with us because you have a soft spot of lovely old homes…….There maybe a crack or two and it very definitely isn't shiny and new. is decorated with lovely antiques and collectibles. Our taste is quite eclectic and colorful some my feel ‘cluttered’.

All of our photos are amateur not professional, ones we have taken with our Iphones. They have not been altered or enhanced in any way. Given that the photos reflect exactly how our house is; we assume that you have seen the photos and have booked with us knowing how our rooms are presented. In fact when you booked with us you have chosen your room specifically.

We hope that you will have a comfortable & pleasant stay with us…..and when giving a review we hope for a pleasant one……… Beverley House & Lauralla are our home not a Motel/Hotel with one room after another furnished the same way. Lauralla B&B is a little more conservative than Beverley we hope that Beverley House is special and fun……...if we you have any questions or we can be of help just contact us to chat.

Breakfast is poached fruit in season/yogurt/milk/Orange & Apple juice/selection of breads, muffins etc/butter & jams. We also have a selection of dry cereals Muesli, corn flakes, rice bubbles & weet bix for your selection. Also we have a wide selection of Teas, coffee etc.

The poached fruit selection is random & seasonal…..eg possibly Orange segments caramelized in Moroccan spices or maybe Pears poached in ginger & fennel or whole Apples poached in coconut cream & spices and stuffed with dates or perhaps Apple slices & raisins poached with cardamom, cinnamon & cumin . Note: no nuts are used and there are other spices and herbs used but in minute amounts.
Tea & Coffee
We have prepared a selection of teas & coffees, biscuits, hot chocolate etc for you use during your stay. If you do not like the selection we have in place ….we offer you our commiserations; but the offering is complimentary . If you would like something different please feel free to bring along an alternative you will enjoy, we really don’t mind. We however will not be altering our selection or brand of tea or coffee or biscuits. On arrival you will find a small bottle of milk to tide you over to have tea & coffee when you arrive. You will have a renewed supply with your breakfast basket.
Port & Chocolates - We love that you enjoy the Port & Chocolates they are so tasty these are a complimentary offering to welcome you to our home but are not refillable during your stay.
Technically speaking Beverley House is 4 self contained apartments, with the emphasis on self contained. We supply breakfast and the other bits and pieces because we like to. We enjoy having guest stay with us , its fun.

When you arrive you will find your apartment keys in your door waiting for you. On the Key ring will be your key to the front door and key to your apartment. We provide 1 set. If a set of keys are lost the cost to have them replaced is $30 .
If you have a downstairs apartment you will have a door to the outside accessible from your porch. There is no outside lock on the doors. Using the doors as your entry & exit doors would necessitate you actually leaving your apartment unlocked; in the interests of security for our home [and the other guests]…...for the majority of the time could you please use the front door when coming going . We have never had any security issues at Beverley House but one must take suitable measures where possible.

Which Apartment will you stay in…. Whilst we make every effort to give you the Room you would like. Occasionally this isnt possible. Perhaps repairs need to be done or some other unforeseen ‘THING’ has cropped up…….. If we have other Rooms available [Please note that you may be offered an alternate room at Beverley House or at Lauralla [which is in the next street. Lauralla is an equally lovely Victorian home] we will ask you stay there, if you prefer not to stay with us because the room you selected is not available; that’s fine, but the full tariff for your booking is still payable. A refund will not be given as the decision not to stay with us when there is accommodation available is yours to make. If we have no rooms available at either Lauralla or Beverley house , of course you will be issued with a refund.

If an overbooking has occurred we will notify you immediately…. We realise that it is a frustrating experience and we deeply regret that the situation has arisen. We will also immediately refund any monies you have paid us and we will work to find you alternate accommodation…… If none can be found again we are very sorry and can only offer our sincerest apologies…. We care deeply about the predicament and do not take it lightly……..….or perhaps you might decide to find your own alternate accommodation or have your accommodation agent find it for you.

Damages As you will have noticed Beverley House is furnished with an eclectic range of valuable antique and collectible furniture and decorative items. We really do love sharing our unique home with wonderful guests and we appreciate that accidents happen. But in saying that some damage is unfortunately because of miss use . If there is a breakage please let us know. We are for the most part understanding people……...
ON ARRIVAL we ask you to fill out a guest registration form . We understand that you have already given this to the Accommodation Booking Agent but we require that this form is filled out in your own hand. This is needed to cover OH&S issues and Insurance matters [your presence/stay at our B&B].

Payment Policy

We require a DEPOSIT of $100 per apartment/room to hold your booking.
Using a current & operating Credit card.

When booking…..if you book on the behalf of your group your credit card details are used for the Room deposit/security & damage guarantee, and final Tariff. Your invoice is issued using those details, as we assume in supplying your credit card details that you are happy to take responsibility for the original room deposits and total of the room Tariffs owing. If you are not happy to be the responsible one and would like each room charged separately to each rooms guest; You will need to supply me by email each guests Name, residential address, mobile number, email address [to receive the invoice] , and a valid credit card number, expiry date and CVC number.
Approximately 5 days before your stay with us if you haven't contacted us to let us know that you would prefer to do a bank transfer or a cash payment we will use the credit card information you have supplied to us to process the final amount. Once this has gone through we will send you an email letting you know and attaching a fully paid invoice and again attach our several sheets of information, Terms & Conditions .
Please note if your credit card is declined we will email you and let you know. We are happy to give you 24 hours to make other arrangements with us but after that we must cancel your booking so that we have the opportunity to obtain another booking. We will of course and let you know if we have had to cancel your booking.

Cancellation Policy

1. If you cancel your booking 14 days or less before your booking with us your booking fee will be forfeited.
2. If you cancel your booking 7 days or less before your booking with us your total deposit Plus $100 will be forfeited.
3. If you cancel 48 hours before your booking or less you would be charged the total room rate.
4. A ‘NO Show’ with out any notice or contact of any kind; you also will be charged the total room Tariff originally booked.
4. If you arrive/check-in/ Occupy the room & decided not to stay, that is totally your decision but full payment or the full accommodation Tariff for the original time booked, is due. When you book with us it is taken for granted that you have read the terms & conditions and acquainted yourself with the contents of the emails we have sent you. B&B owners are small business people who depend on bookings for their living. We do our very best to respect you and treat you well and we would appreciate the same in return.
5. If all payments are satisfied [booking deposit & final payment is deemed in place & secure] if a payment is declined the booking is not confirmed until an accepted payment goes through to our bank account. Booking will be held for you for 24 hours only.
As you would appreciate we would have turned away prospective accommodation guests because we accepted your booking especially if you have booked a number of rooms. Please note: any Refunds will be returned to you in Cheque form if you have paid by Bank transfer or by eftpos refund if we have your credit card details.
Accommodation Deposit: A $100 deposit [per room] is required at the time of booking to hold your booking. This needs to be paid by Credit Card/Debit Card with approx. [several moths usage left on the card after your intended stay is a must]. This is required as a Security, Loss & damage element.
Pre-payment of your final invoice is necessary to CONFIRM that you definitely intend staying at Beverley House and when you approx. intend to arrive. Your deposit of $100 held your booking until the final invoice is due for payment. The payment is expected as either a Bank Transfer/phone credit card payment. To pay cash on arrival you will need to let me know. If we have not received payment or made other arrangements with you by email we will assume that you do not intend to stay with us and we will be free to take another booking in place of yours. We would endeavour to send you an email letting you know that your booking is Not Confirmed and that the final payment is due etc. A change to your booking after you arrive is unfortunate; we do sympathise & we appreciate that guests health problems & emergencies/family & friend issues arise & are of importance, but we have held your booking in good faith and have turned away other guests to take your booking; ………...however the total accommodation invoice amount is due.
