Beautifully renovated studio apartment with amazing views of the Lighthouse. Situated in a section of the original 1859 Lightkeeper's Quarters, this building was home to the Assistant Lightkeepers and offers great charm and comfort.
A private lounge with a kitchenette (microwave, toaster, sink) bedroom with king size bed (or split king), large en-suite and built in window seat to enjoy the views.
Facilities include a DVD player (no TV reception), electric heating, bar fridge, toaster and kettle.
A Continental Breakfast tray is provided in your room .

Lightkeeper's Cottage Book
This spacious, stately house, crafted from stone quarried by hand from the nearby Parker River, was built in 1857 and gives guests an insight into the domestic life of the Lightstation’s first keepers.
While away a sunny afternoon under the wide verandahs as you admire the views of the Lighthouse and Southern Ocean, or get cosy with a book and a glass of wine by the wood fire during a winters evening. Our well-equipped kitchen is ideal for those who want to self-cater.
The Lightkeeper's Cottage can cater for groups of up to 6 people with 2 bedrooms both with a King sized bed (can be split into single beds) and a 1 set of bunk beds in the one bedroom (larger groups may book the Lightkeeper's B&B which is accessible via an internal door).
There is no TV reception or WiFi at Cape Otway, but we supply a limited selection of DVDs with jigsaw puzzles, games and books.

An ideal escape for a couple or a family, the Lightkeeper's B&B has views of the lighthouse, Bass Strait, and the Southern Ocean.
The B&B offers two cosy bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed (can be split into singles). It also includes a large, newly refurbished heritage-style bathroom. Please note this is tea & coffee facilities, a toaster and mini bar fridge however there is no sink or cooking facilities. There is no TV reception or WiFi at Cape Otway, but we supply a limited selection of DVDs, together with jigsaw puzzles, games and books.
The Lightkeeper's B&B can accommodate up to 4 guests. This B&B section of the residence is closed off from the main part of the house via a locked internal door.

The Lighthouse Lodge can cater for groups of up to 8 people. For a larger group of up to 10 people, the Lighthouse Lodge B&B are can be booked and accessed via an internal door .

The house is located in the Lightstation Heritage Precinct a short distance from the Lighthouse and has an outdoor entertaining area.

Terms & Conditions
The Lightstation Heritage Precinct and cafe operating hours vary - please visit our website for further information.
A morning tower climb will be provided during your stay if the Lightstation Precinct is closed. Full information is provided in your welcome letter on arrival.
Rates are based on 2 persons sharing with each additional person charged at $50 per person per night.
Rates are based on 2 persons per room/ king bed with an additional $50 charge per additional room/ bed in excess of the requirements of the booking to cover additional linen and cleaning costs. If you require separate rooms for guests please contact us before arrival to confirm bedding configurations as additional rooms in excess to what is required for the booking are typically left locked.
All king beds can be split into singles or left as kings. Please notify us prior to arrival if you have any particular bedding configurations required as these cannot be changed on arrival.
Please ensure that your guest numbers match adults/children/ infants on your booking before arrival. All guests must be recorded on our system for fire/ emergency purposes. Any unauthorised guests found to be in breach of this will incur a $100 fee per person per night or alternatively, if the group is in breach of the maximum capacity regulations - the booking will be cancelled and guests will be asked to leave the property immediately without refund.
Check in is strictly from 3pm onwards only with no early check in available. Guests arriving earlier than 3pm are welcome to explore the Lightstation Grounds while they are waiting. Please check in at our front office/ ticketing kiosk at the main carpark.
If checking in after 5pm - Please follow check in instructions carefully and print out or screenshot before arrival as there is no mobile or internet reception at the gate.
Please note that we operate a policy of 'quiet hours' between 10pm and 8am with no parties or loud gatherings permitted at anytime. Please note that your accommodation may be adjoining other accommodations so please keep noise to a minimum to avoid disturbing other guests.
Please ensure that children are supervised closely at all times both indoors and outdoors in the precinct.
Please note that dogs are not permitted at any time within the Lightstation Grounds and accommodation due to our location within the National Park.
Please note that drones are not permitted within the Lightstation Grounds or surrounding areas due to our location within the National Park and the proximity to heritage buildings and operational marine navigational equipment (fines apply).
Payment Policy
Payment will be processed 14 days prior to check in or at the time of booking (which ever is latest) using credit card details provided.
Please ensure that you have selected the correct amount of adults/ children/ infants in your booking. Please contact us before arrival if your booking numbers change or need to be amended.

Cancellation Policy
Standard industry cancellation fees apply as follows:
Free Cancellation is available for cancellations notified up to 14 days prior to arrival.
All cancellations must be notified in writing to info@lightstation.com. Cancellations will not be accepted by phone or voicemail.
Cancellations notified 14 days or less prior to arrival will forfeit 100% of the total tariff. All prepaid bookings are non-refundable.
All non- arrivals/ 'no- shows' on active bookings will forfeit 100% of the total tariff and will not be refunded.
Exemptions from cancellation fees will be given to those directly impacted by government issued COVID travel restrictions that have been introduced after the time of booking and prevent the guest from travel. Cancellations must be made in a reasonable timeframe in advance of arrival and as soon as new restrictions are announced.
