Cocos Castaway, ocean-side stylish self-contained accommodation located on the beautiful and remote Cocos (Keeling) Islands. This exclusive complex will provide you with a private and relaxed atmosphere. Right at your backdoor is the majestic Indian Ocean. Cocos Castaway has up to date facilities so that you can live in comfort at yesterday's pace. Just imagine sitting on your verandah taking in the breathtaking sunsets whilst enjoying the balmy tropical Cocos evenings. All accommodation at Cocos Castaway have views from the external verandahs. Both the Deluxe Retreats and the Superior Ocean View Unit have direct views to the Indian Ocean. The Standard Villas and two Superior Units have views to the tropical gardens and / or limited ocean views.

Cocos Castaway Standard Villas. Ideally suited to couples or singles who just want to get away from it all. Each room has a kitchenette, queen size bed, safe, air conditioning and ceiling fans and is fully screened for your comfort. A shared BBQ and verandah with views to the Indian Ocean.

As this is a shared verandah, these rooms are only suited to non-smokers, or occasional smokers who don't mind walking to the oceanfront seating area to have their cigarette.

Note: Not suitable for twin share as accommodation has one only queen bed.

Terms & Conditions

The booked accommodation is for the express use of checked in guests only and is not to be used for parties, receptions or any other group function. A maximum of two additional persons may visit the room however they must vacate the property by 10pm or as directed if disturbing other guests.

Cocos Castaway – Smoking and Fire Prevention Policy.

Cocos Castaway is a smoke & cigarette free property. This extends to all of the facility including rooms, verandah and garden areas. For guests who still smoke a suitable location is provided near the sea wall down wind of other Cocos Castaway guests and staff.

In the interests of fire safety the use of candles and mosquito coils is not permitted. Alternative insect bite prevention methods are available at Cocos Castaway.

Payment Policy

Effective 23 September 2022

Cocos Castaway provides a two step confirmation process. Payment in full required to confirm your reservation.

Please enter valid credit card to secure Cocos Castaway booking. Your card will be charged within 12-24 hours. Booking system will then email a copy of invoice / receipt showing zero balance outstanding. At this stage you can consider your booking fully confirmed.

All AMEX and overseas (non Australian) issued Visa & Mastercard accepted with 3% surcharge.

Special: Australian issued Visa and Mastercard payments accepted without additional surcharge. Card surcharge will be over ridden and not applied.

Cancellation Policy

If booking is cancelled greater than 60 days prior to arrival an administration fee of $200 / room will be applied..

Cancellation 61 days or more prior to arrival: Full refund available less $200 administration fee per room.

As a remote location with replacement bookings difficult to achieve, cancellation of the booking within 60 days of arrival will result in 100% loss. We recommend travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances. Clients who elect not to purchase travel insurance agree to self insure and accept the financial risk in the event of weather delayed flights, or personal issues resulting in non arrival as planned.
