Terms & Conditions

Rates: All rates are quoted in NZD on a per night basis and include GST (15%). All accounts must be settled directly with Coromandel Cottages in NZD.

Reservations: Guests must be 18 or older to make a reservation. Reservations can be made via their website or bookings.com. Email inquiries will be answered within 48 hours.

Phone Reservation Process: When making a reservation over the phone, guests must provide full customer details and valid credit card information. If the guest does not have a credit card, they must provide either a credit card within 24 hours or make a direct credit payment to the motel’s account for the full value of the stay.

Payment: Full payment must be made 48 hours before arrival via approved methods (Visa, MasterCard or Eftpos).

Self-Check-In: Although there is an on-site reception desk, we are in the process of transitioning to a self-check-in system. Reception services will be available
only from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Arrival and Departure Times:
Check in time is 2pm
Check out time is 10am
Subject to the motel status on the day of departure, late check-out may be available, please check with reception should you require this facility.
There may be a charge applied for a late check out.

Late Check in: All Guests can check in at reception by 5 pm. If you are unable to check in by 5 pm, the self-check-in process will be available.

Smoking: This is a smoke-free complex. Smoking is permitted only outside, away from open windows, doors, and other guests, especially children. If it is found
that someone has smoked inside the room, we will hire a specialist cleaning service. The registered guest will be responsible for covering the cost of
this cleaning, as well as any resulting loss of income, such as when future guests refuse to stay in the affected room.

Room condition: A cleaning fee of $50 may be charged if the room is left in an unsatisfactory state. This includes, excessive rubbish, misuse of hotel property
(including linen), unhygienic conditions, excessive mess or odors in the kitchen, that result in unwarranted cleaning time for Coromandel Cottages Motel Staff.

Damage to Property: Any damage should be reported immediately. Failure to do so will result in charges for repairs/replacements.

Visitors: Allowed at the management's discretion; visitors must leave by 9 PM. The registered guest is responsible for the behavior of all persons/visitors
whilst on the property. All deliberate or reckless acts that result in damage to our property, or require specialist cleaning or repairs, will be charged to the registered guest.

Overdue Accounts: All accounts are payable when checking in. Overdue accounts will incur recovery fees, and we reserve the right to charge these fees to the
card details stored in our system when due.

Child Policy: Please note that it is the parent’s responsibility to supervise the child at all times while staying at Coromandel Colonial Cottages Motel.

Force Majeure: Coromandel Cottages Motel will not be in any breach of this agreement or in any way liable, if it is prevented from complying with the supply
of accommodation and other related services by reason of Act of God, Act of Public Enemy, War, Earthquake, Riot, Fire, Storm, Flood, Explosion, Compliance with any Law of Government Restraint Order, Rule Regulations, Strikes, Lock Outs or any other cause not reasonably within the control of the motel.

Payment Policy

For payments by Direct Credit, Internet & Phone banking, please use your invoice number to identify your payment - Bank Acct: BNZ- 02-0316-0590799-000

Online reservations through Coromandel Cottages website requires authorisation of a current / valid credit card. Not visa debit or a like. No charge will be made via a payment gateway i.e. pay when you arrive.

Coromandel Cottages Motel reserves the right to charge or pre-authorise a credit card on bookings made via a booking site that has no payment gateway.

Early departure than the reserved date may not result in a refund unless the motel management approved are able to relet the booked accommodation.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation/refund policy:
Free Cancellation up to two days beforecheck-in day (by 2:00pm). **
If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 100% of the first night's stay will be charged.

** School & Public Holidays:
7 days notice required for cancellations or changes; otherwise, no refund on the booking deposit unless the unit is resold.

Group Bookings (3 or more units):
Cancellations up to 30 days before arrival incur only a $20 administration fee.
After that, or in case of a no-show, 100% of the booking is charged as originally quoted. Confirmation of guest numbers must be made 15 days prior to arrival.

For all bookings their is no refund for early check-out. The  guest accepts to have their credit card charged in the event of any cancellation.

Please note - Special events, December/January school holidays and promotional room rates/offers a no cancellation policy applies, which means, no refunds or changes permitted.
