Terms & Conditions

Check In/Checkout: Check in time is 2:00 pm, and check out time is 12 noon. (kindly note that for large groups, we may only accept a minimum number of room to be held till 12noon due to incoming guests). Late checkout requests may be made through the front desk only, and are based on hotel occupancy. For late checkout, Additional charges of RM20 per extra hour is charged and is subjected to availability.

Deposit/Guarantee: All guaranteed reservations must be paid in full or guaranteed with a major credit card with expiration date and CVV number. A deposit of MYR100 will be collected as deposit upon check in. The hotel will not hold any reservation after 3pm unless it is secured by the above mentioned methods. Personal Cheques are not accepted, if you wish to pay by company check, the full amount must be given 4 weeks in advance.
Reservations guaranteed by a credit or debit card will be pre-authorized for guests stay the morning of arrival. If guests method of guarantee does not accept the pre-authorization, that reservation will be held until 3pm local time after which time the reservation will be cancelled.

Smoking Policy: The Culvert does not provide smoking rooms. Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the hotel room or the hotel lobby. Should it be determined that smoking has taken place in a guestroom, the guest will be charge an extra RM100.00 fee.

Pet Policy: Animals are not allowed in the Resort premises.

Minimum Age Requirements: All guests must be 18 years or older to confirm guestroom accommodations at The Culvert. A valid photo ID must be presented at the time of check in for age verification.

Swimming pool & Beach: There is an out door swimming pool located in the premises which is only allowed for in house guests. No outside personnel is allowed. There is No lifeguard on duty. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult when using.

Resort’s Terms & Conditions
Liability
Guests’ liability for their account is not waived and guests agree to be held personally liable in the event that any indicated person, group, company or association fails to pay all or part of any charges incurred.

Damage to resort property
We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the hotel’s property or structure. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address. We will however make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.

Removal of resort property
We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of replacing any items that are removed from the premises without consent or damaged during the guest’s stay. The charge will be the full replacement amount of the missing items, including any carriage charges. Should the fact that the item is missing come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guests credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address.

Tampering with fire detection systems and fire fighting equipment
We reserve the right to take action against any guest found to have tampered / interfered with any fire detection equipment throughout the hotel, including detector heads in public areas and bedrooms, break glass points and fire extinguishers. Guests found to have tampered with any fire detection or fire fighting equipment will be charged with any costs incurred by the hotel due to their actions and additionally may be asked to leave the hotel. Depending on the severity of the guest actions, the Police may become involved at the hotel’s discretion. Should the fact that fire fighting or detection equipment had been tampered with come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guests credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address.

Inappropriate behavior
It is the resort’s policy that all our guests have the right to be treated with dignity and respect and as a responsible host we believe that we have a duty to our guests to protect them from inappropriate behavior. Should any actions by a guest be deemed inappropriate by the Manager, or is brought to the attention of the Manager, the hotel reserves the right, after any allegations have been investigated, to take action. Depending on the severity of the guest actions, the Police may become involved at the resort’s discretion, or guests may be asked to leave the hotel.

Lost / Damaged property
Should any guest lose any belongings during their stay or incur damage to their property, the resort will not be held liable. If we find any lost property, we will make every reasonable effort to locate the owner and return it, but if an item is not reclaimed with 3 months of the guest’s departure it will be disposed of.

Check in / Out times
Check in and Check out times are explained when bookings are made. Any extension to the check out time, either pre-arranged or as a late departure, may incur a charge upon departure.

Vehicles
All vehicles are parked at the owners’ risk. Should a problem occur with a vehicle in the hotel car park, the hotel cannot accept any liability. If a vehicle is left in the hotel car park for more than 8 hours after the guest has departed without the written consent of the hotel, the hotel reserves the right to remove the vehicle at the owners’ expense.

Child Policy
The Culvert recognizes children as being 12 or under. Please be aware that individuals over 12 will be classed as adults and charged accordingly on arrival if any. It is also the responsibility of the parents/caretaker to watch over their kids at all times and be respectful of other guests in the hotel.

Hotelier’s responsibility for guest’s property
The resort will not be held responsible for any lost or damage of the guest property. It is the responsibility of the guests to take care of their valuables.

If guest request the their valuables to be placed in the safe in the front desk. The guest must understand that the resort will not be liable for any lost or damage items above RM300.

Payment Policy

In order for guest accommodations to be confirmed/guaranteed, at the time of check in sufficient credit credentials for payment of accommodations must be provided through the authorisation of a debit or credit card. When a debit or credit card is presented for authorisation, please be advised that a credit hold of the amount of guest room charges, deposit, applicable taxes and a provision for incidental charges will be placed on the banking account. The resort does not accept overseas cash currencies as payment.

Cancellation Policy

All confirmed/guaranteed reservations are non refundable. Non guaranteed reservations will be realeased at 3pm.
