Our Cottage and Homestead are fully self-contained, architect-designed, eco-friendly and immaculately presented. Goosewing Cottage is located on an extinct volcano, which executes a powerful effect on the peace and tranquility of the property.

Stay in, enjoy a stroll or a picnic on the property amongst the natural, idyllic setting and local wildlife. Delight in the convenience of direct door-to-door coach transfers for all exclusive Hunter Valley events, including Day On The Green concerts. Enjoy the food and wine trail, with award-winning local vineyards such as Briar Ridge, Peterson’s and Carillion Wines, as well as world class restaurants including the legendary AGFG’s chef-hatted Bistro Molines, just a stone’s throw away.

Terms & Conditions

A 2 night minimum applies to all stays.

A 3 night minimum applies to all long weekend and Christmas/New Year’s period stays as does a special rate (please see below)

All public holidays (excluding Christmas Day and New Years Day) are charged at weekend nightly rate

A minimum 2 couple/4 person tariff applies to Cottage stays on all event weekends

Our Cottage tariffs are based on a per couple/per bedroom tariff. Should 2 adults travelling together (not a couple) require both bedrooms, an additional $120 surcharge applies.

We require a 50% deposit to secure your booking, with the balance due 30 days prior to your stay.

We require a credit card to be temporarily kept on file for security reasons. Any loss, damage caused, additional unpaid guests or extra cleaning required during Cottage or Homestead stays will be charged to this credit card.

A $500 security bond per dwelling will be held via credit card pre-authorisation, which will be processed just prior to your check-in and will automatically expire after check-out, pending no loss or damage to property, additional/unpaid visitors or extra cleaning required.

Strictly no parties, hens/bucks nights, events, ceremonies or functions are to be held on the property

Day visitors are only allowed on the property subject to discretion and pre-approval of owners

Strictly no smoking indoors. Cigarettes must be extinguished and disposed of appropriately

In the interests of our local fauna and other guests, pets are not allowed

Check-in is after 2:00pm and check-out is by 10:45am. Early check-ins or late check-outs can at times be negotiated but are subject to availability

We require a minimum 30 days’ notice for all cancellations or postponements. With less notice, a refund is not possible. An administration fee of $50 also applies for cancellations or postponements made at any time

Special Rates (Christmas and New Years Period):
A special rate applies to all Cottage and Homestead stays during Christmas and New Years periods as does a 3 night minimum during this time. A 2 couple/4 person tariff minimum also applies to Cottage bookings over the New Years Eve period.

Payment Policy

We require a 50% deposit payable at time of booking. The balance is due no later than 30 days prior to guest's arrival date.

Cancellation Policy

In case of cancellation, the 25% deposit is refundable up to 30 days prior to arrival. With less than 30 days' notice, the full amount is payable and no refund is possible. For postponements, we require a minimum 30 days' notice prior to check-in and these are subject to availability and conditions.
