Hamptons Inn is a fully restored single level cottage, built in 1913 and listed on the State Heritage Register. It sits on the hill, over the road from both the Fremantle Prison and Fremantle Hospital.

Its facade with the original tuck pointed brickwork and the large wrap around front veranda is typical of an old Fremantle home. The polished jarrah floorboards throughout and spacious rooms are all features of the period.

We are only a short 10 minute stroll (750 metres) from the centre of Fremantle with its renowned sidewalk cafes, restaurants, bars, entertainment venues and the Port Precinct.

You can take a short drive, jump on the Fremantle Tram or the free Fremantle Cat Bus Service, to our stunning beaches, Fishing Boat Harbour and the Rottnest Ferry terminal. Or you can stroll 100m down the road to the bus stop where a #150 or 160 bus can take you into Fremantle or onto Perth and the Perth Airport.

We are an adult retreat and do not cater for children. Each of our four spacious bedrooms have their own ensuite (3 with spas), individual air conditioning, 40 inch flat screen TV, ironing, tea and coffee facilities and either King or Queen sized beds with hand selected quality linen to make your stay with us all the more comfortable.

The entire house has free WiFi and office facilities, as well as freshly brewed espresso coffee, an extensive house library, dining area stereo and alfresco style sitting area for you to use.

Our complimentary continental breakfast is served in the dining area between 7.00 am and 9.30 am. Please enjoy it in either the dining area or on the alfresco deck. The breakfast facilities and utensils are available for your use throughout the day. All we ask is that you clean up after yourself so that it does not inconvenience other guests.

The keyless access system has been installed to be the most convenient and secure way for you to access any of the public areas of the house.
Your individual security code will give you entry through any of the front, rear, alfresco and laundry doors as well as your room.

We have provided 5 parking bays to ensure that you will always have somewhere to park while staying at Hamptons Inn.
Two bays are located under the cover of the security cameras and sensor lights at the rear of the house and three more on the paved verge (under the shade of the street trees).

If you like a long soak at the end of a hectic day, then we know that you’ll enjoy the spa bath in your room.

All bedrooms and the dining area are fitted with energy efficient air conditioners so that the house temperature is most pleasant for you.

We hope that you’ll get the chance to relax and enjoy a good book while you are with us. We have put together a selection of reading material which we hope you will enjoy. Feel free to select a book to enjoy and, if you haven’t finished it when you have to leave, please take it with you.

Complimentary laundry facilities are provided for your use in the laundry/shed. There are two laundry troughs, a top loader washing machine, an 8kg tumble drier and an undercover clothes line to conserve the environment. There are detergent powders and other consumables that you can use while you’re here.

The house phone is located in the Lounge on the Study Desk. We've provided it for your convenience, so please use it if you’d like. It will allow you to call any local and interstate numbers. Calls to overseas and mobile phones have been disabled.

The desk in the lounge is provided so that, if you have to work, you have basic office facilities available. We have provided a multi-function printer/fax/scanner/copier for your use with the house phone, stapler, hole punch on the desk as well, so that you can do all that you need while staying with us.

We also enjoy a good cuppa. So, we have provided you with basic tea and coffee facilities in your room. If you would like something a little more, we have provided an automatic Espresso Machine and a selection of Twinning’s Fine Teas for you to enjoy in the dining areas.

The TVs in each room have all of the free to air stations tuned in. The TVs will accept USB and HDMI connection for playing any media you would like to watch.

We have provided luggage racks in each room so that it is easy for you to unpack.

The entire house is non-smoking. Please do not smoke inside or near open doorways.

The house has a video surveillance security system and sensor security lights at the front and rear to keep you safer whilst you are here.

We have installed smoke detectors strategically through the house. An emergency escape plan is posted on the rear of each room door.

Fremantle is an amazing place to have a great time and enjoy some of the history of Western Australia. We have included a little information in our Guest Information Package on some of the places you might like to visit while you are here.

Terms & Conditions

General Conditions
To maintain a good standard for our guests we require our guests to ensure that certain conditions and standards of behaviour are maintained. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.
This property is rented as short term accommodation.
Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The rental charged is for domestic use only.
Noise levels in all common areas (dining, lounge, veranda, alfresco) should be kept to a minimum so that other guests are not inconvenienced and these can only be used after 10pm if there is no noise made that could disturb other guests.
Guests will see to their own security while staying in the property by locking room and exterior doors, windows, shed doors, etc. when it is prudent to do so.
The guests shall vacate the premises on the expiration date of the rental period.
Check-out time is up to 10 am to allow staff to prepare the property for next guests.
Guests shall only use the premises in a careful and lawful manner. Use of the property for any other purpose (eg: illegal drug use, abuse of any persons, harbouring fugitives, etc) shall be cause for immediate termination of the rental.
Guests agree not to access the kitchen, storeroom and house cupboards in the rear shed/laundry areas (even if unlocked) as they are for “staff only” access and contain potentially dangerous cleaning supplies, chemicals and tools.
WiFi and internet access, telephone and television service, water and electrical supply are provided by management using third party providers. Management accept no responsibility for any service interruption, outages, speed, access problems or personal preferences with regard to these services. No refunds shall be provided should outages or other problems occur for any of these services.
A house telephone is provided to allow guests to make local Australian calls. Mobile/cell, special and international numbers are blocked. Emergency calls can be made to 000 for Police, fire or medical emergencies.
There is a fire extinguisher installed near the kitchen door. The fire extinguisher was fully charged at last inspection. The guests will inform management immediately should the fire extinguisher become less than fully charged. Guests agree to use the fire extinguisher only for true emergencies.
The property has smoke alarms installed for the guest safety. These were fully functional at last inspection. Guests will notify management without delay if a smoke detector alarms or chirps to indicate a fault.
Guests are aware that the property has gas powered items in use (including cook top, water heaters, etc) and will seek help from management if the proper operation of such items is not fully understood or the items appear not to be operating correctly.
Disturbance to the neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in immediate eviction, termination of rental and loss of the balance of rent.
Linen is supplied for use within the premises. No towels or other linen are to be taken from the premises.
Beach towels are to be provided by the guest for their own use.
Hamptons Inn is an adult retreat. Children and pets are not allowed unless specific authority has been provided in writing by the owner (Example: guide dogs).
Hamptons Inn accept no responsibility for guest personal property. If items are left behind by guests, management will attempt to contact guests for return instruction. Costs of return shall be covered by the guest.
If items are not claimed for longer than 3 months they shall become the property of management and may be disposed of in any way management sees fit. Management accepts no responsibility for maintaining the condition of the items.
On departure the guest shall leave the property in a similar state to its condition on arrival.
The room rates do not allow for the extra wear associated with parties and/or functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Guests hosting parties and/or functions may result in additional charges to the guest credit card and/or immediate termination of the rental.
Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss are the guest responsibility during their stay. Their credit card will be charged for any rectification or replacement required after inspection of the room once guests have vacated the property.
Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner in writing.
Should guests violate any of the terms of this agreement, the rental period may be terminated immediately.
If the rental period is terminated for any reason, no refund shall be made.

Payment Policy

Booking Payment Policy
Payment is made in full (normally via credit card) at the time of booking to secure the booking.
A Booking Confirmation Form is provided to the guest to sign confirming all details of the booking and acceptance of our terms and conditions.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy
If the booking is cancelled 14 days or less before the expected arrival date, a 50% cancellation fee will apply.
If the booking is cancelled 7 days or less before the expected arrival date the total booking cost shall be applied as a cancellation fee.
Hamptons Inn will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked.
However, they reserve the right to make (without penalty) alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances and/or circumstances beyond their control.
