Hillview House Bed and Breakfast

Hillview House was originally built around the 1840’s and extensively enlarged by Rev. W Law in the 1860’s. It has now been sympathetically restored to provide a charming stay for your Tasmanian holiday. We have given great attention to providing the modern facilities and well decorated rooms you expect. - Check in time is 2pm and check out time is 10am. Early check-in or late check-out may be arranged;
- Security bond may be required upon check-in;
- No party in the room.

Payment Policy

We accept Visa, MasterCard, China Union, Eftpos & Cash payments on arrival. Payments made directly to Hillview House by using a credit card attract a surcharge of additional 1.5% on Visa and MasterCard and 2.5% on China Union on the total invoice amount.

Cheques are accepted on prior arrangement with management, providing the cheque is received at least 7 days prior to arrival in order to ensure the cheque clears. No personal cheques will be accepted at check-in and/or during the entire stay

Direct Debit is accepted, provided payments are made at least 3 days prior to arrival and have appeared in our bank account. Please let reception know before making a payment so we will expect it in our account. Please put your reservation number in the comments when making the payment. Proof of transfer/receipt or remittance advice is requested for issued invoices.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: Please provide notice of cancellation or changes to your booking in writing (via email). For cancellations made more than 28 days prior to arrival, booking funds will be refunded less a 20% cancellation fee. For cancellations made more than 7 days prior to arrival, booking funds will be refunded less a 50% cancellation fee. For cancellations made less than 7 days in advance of arrival, no refund will be given, however, the reservation may be rescheduled to another equivalent period subject to availability. Guests are advised to take out comprehensive travel insurance to cater for any unforeseen circumstances.
If guest did not turn up on arrival date and did not cancel the reservation, a No-Show fee equivalent to your accommodation cost will be charged from the credit card supplied.
