Holmesville Hotel has been the social centre of Holmesville since 1904

The federation structure was completed in 1904 by William Turnball & Sons, builders from West Wallsend. It was commissioned by Robert Drurie, a Draper at West Wallsend who purchased Lot 20 Holmesville from Joseph Holmes in 1903

Architectural features include a magnificent wrought iron lacework balcony panels of which bear a foundry stamp of 1899. The exterior has remained the same since construction with the exception of the addition of tiles to the front facade around 1914, and the loss of the terracotta pot from the chimney on the Northern end of building. This pot was dislodged in the Pasha Bulker storm of 2007. The original staircase remains, as do the metal ceilings.

Upon check-in a photocopy of a valid credit card and driver's licence is required. The person making the reservation and guest/s checking in must be over 18 years.

Holmesville Hotel reserves the right to charge your credit card upon booking with us. Holmesville Hotel reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings.

The Holmesville Hotel has a no party policy for the comfort and safety of all guests. We reserve the right to remove any persons from the property who do not adhere to this. No refunds will be given.

All rooms and common areas are non smoking. If this policy is not adhered to a $350 cleaning fee will be charged. For the safety of all our guests CCTV cameras monitor all entrances and hallways. These cameras are not available for public access.

Any damage to property will incur a minimum charge of $350 and/or replacement value.

Check out time is no later than 10am. We trust that you will enjoy your stay and ask you to be considerate of others.

Cancellation Policy

We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel at least 48 hours prior to check-in, you will receive a full refund of your booking amount.
