"Carol and I have just spent the last three nights at Hotel High Plains..... FANTASTIC, The staff are brilliant Amber, Peta, Luke etc.... and the owner I real gentleman, ......the Chef Leo was outstanding ..... preparing his dishes to a six star rating.... I had the best steak I have ever had.... and that saying something at my age...... We partied around the bat each night until the early hours.... the friendliness of eveyone was électic' ....Our room was peaceful, comfortable, large, was well equipped (kitchen etc) .....and interesting (not a square or a rectangle) had a balcony... the bed five star..... I slept like a log..... and Dinner Plains itself.... was our first visit.... we booked for two nights and stayed an extra.... I wish we could have stayed for more but we have other things to focus on this week. My rating is 5.0+ out of 5.0.... we'll go back there again. Thanks eveyone at Hotel High what a weekend .... in a word 'brilliant'."

"From the first moment I walked in the door at Hotel High Plains I was warmly greeted & welcomed by David & Amber. Nothing was a problem, the venue was warm & inviting, including a crackling open fire & the food was amazing! The menu was fantastic & I had a hard time choosing something to eat due to all the delicious options. I was travelling alone so I had a wood fire pizza which was to die for, fresh & delicious.
Despite being the off season, The Hotel High Plains has an awesome vibe, great locals & as previously mentioned the staff were brilliant. My intention was to grab a quick bite to eat & have a quiet night. However I was compelled to take a seat at the bar where I was introduced to the locals and then had the pleasure of spending a relaxing, fun & laughter filled night. When I did eventually make it back to my room, many hours later, it was beautiful & clean, a comfy bed & great pillows (which is a big tick for me!!) I can highly recommend The Hotel High Plains as a must stay/visit venue on the mountain. I can't thank David & Amber enough for being such incredible hosts, making me feel so welcome & making sure I had such a fun & entertaining night, I have not laughed so much in ages. I will definitely be back! It was fantastic to meet you all & thanks again for making what could have been a fairly dull night, so very cool.☺️"

Please read the following before signing as your signature will validate the instructions / notifications contained within;

You agree any monies or other valuables, goods or vehicles that belong to you, brought in or on to the property of Hotel High Plains remain your responsibility. Please see innkeepers waiver notice in room.

Whilst being a guest at Hotel High Plains you are responsible for any loss or damage to the property. A credit card pre-authorization must be received upon check in as a security deposit/bond. Major credit cards are accepted - Visa, MasterCard, Diners and AMEX. The preauthorization will lapse after 3-5 business days after your departure, provided the property is left in a clean, tidy and undamaged condition. Please note that all the rooms are non-smoking and pets are not permitted. If the room is left in an unreasonable state and cannot be occupied by incoming guests, there will be a charge equal to 1 night’s tariff applicable to your room type charged to your credit card. You will also be asked to vacate your room and find alternate accommodation if deemed necessary; if such transgressions occur mid stay. No refund will be available for the remaining part of your stay if the above eventuates.
If a room key is lost or not handed in upon check out a replacement fee of $25 will be charged to your credit card.

You guarantee that the room you have booked is only occupied by the maximum people designated for that booking. If the total no of guests exceeds the maximum paid for then you will be liable for the room’s tariff as a pro rata amount per person.

Check out is strictly 10am unless prior arrangement has been made. Intentional late departure will incur a charge of 50% of the checkout day tariff.

We may use third-party service providers to process your personal information on our behalf for the purposes of this booking. For example, we may share some information about you with these third parties so that they can contact you directly by email (for example: to obtain post stay reviews about your travel experience).

Payment Policy

All prices are correct at time of printing but are subject to change without notice.
All reservation requests are subject to availability. Any verbal or written quotes are an estimate only of the price and will be confirmed at time of booking.

To confirm your reservation we require a 50% deposit at the time of booking, and the balance 1 calendar month prior to arrival.

Reservations made within 1 calendar month off the arrival date require full payment at the time of making the reservation. This is a non-refundable payment. Bookings will not be guaranteed until full payment is received.

All non-direct bookings from third party sites are processed in full as per their sites payment terms and conditions

Direct deposits and major credit cards are accepted - Visa, MasterCard, Diners and AMEX. Cheques are not accepted. Amex and Diners charge cards will attract a 4% surcharge.

Cancellation Policy

If cancellation occurs prior to 1 calendar month of your arrival every endeavour will be made to re-schedule your holiday as vacancies allow, or, the total cost of the booking less 15% (booking management fee) will be refunded.
If less than one calendar month notice is given, ALL MONIES PAID ARE FORFEITED

A change of date or accommodation is treated as a cancellation and a new booking made.
