Crafted from local trees by Dewi, your host, showcases traditional joinery etched with his mallet and chisel.

You stay with the craftsman in his Barn.

A copper sink from the cowshed, a chestnut dresser of clay pottery, a totara fencepost mantel over the stone inglenook fireplace.

Cast your eye through the Barn out over the lush green fields and into the spectacular ancient Kaimai Mamaku State forest mountain range.

Hidden under its presence amongst the pastoral farmland is one of 22 Great rides Haurakirailtrail, wheeling you on a leisurely family nature ride.

Drop into the converted dairy factory cafe at Cafe 77 in the tiny historic village of Mamaku and transverse the state of the art rock climbing venue hidden within.
