The Servants Quarters form part of the stately property Glenellyn House dating back to 1880, and was originally constructed for the Police Magistrate and his staff.

Terms & Conditions

ACCOMMODATION:
Glenellyn House - Servants Quarters is for short term holiday accommodation for a maximum of 4 people. The main residence Glenellyn House on the same property is occupied by the owners. The servants quarters are separate to the main residence but on the same property.

A 50% Rental Deposit is payable at the time of Reservation Confirmation - Payment of the Rental Deposit constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions including the Payment Policy and Cancellation Policy.

For ONE NIGHT ONLY booking payment to be made in full at time of confirmation.

GUEST NUMBER: - The maximum number of guests in the Servants Quarters is four people. Fees will apply for extra persons not paid for on the Reservation Confirmation or as agreed with the Owners in advance.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE: Check-in: 2.00pm - Check-out: 11.00am - flexible depending on bookings by prior agreement

Minimum 2 night stay during school holidays and public holiday periods with a no refund policy for those periods.

PROPERTY USAGE: At the end of the occupancy the property must be left by the Guest in a similar condition to arrival – Cleaning penalty fees will be applied if the property is left in an untidy or unclean condition or if excess rubbish and bottles have not been removed. All breakages must be paid for.

Events and parties are strictly prohibited unless otherwise explicitly agreed to in writing prior to occupancy by the Owners - Any agreed event or party will be subject to an additional Event Fee and recovery of associated costs - The Rental does not allow for the extra wear and tear associated with events and parties including but not limited to cleaning, rubbish removal and repairs - Use contrary to these terms will result in loss of the Security Deposit and/or additional Fees.

NOISE: Please be mindful of our neighbours - Any disturbance to neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of the occupancy and forfeiture of all Rental and the Security Deposit paid by the Guest.

GENERAL INCLUSIONS: Linen, duvets, blankets, pillows and towels are supplied - All beds are made up - An assortment of teas, coffee and cold drinks are provided for the Guests use and enjoyment and complimentary light breakfast cereal provided. A continental breakfast is available at an extra cost of $25 for two people and includes poached fruit, condiments, fresh baked artisan bread, Morpeth muesli and Hunter Valley yoghurt.

SMOKING: Glenellyn House Servants Quarters and gardens are a NO SMOKING PROPERTY - SMOKING IS PROHIBITED INSIDE ANY PART OF THE property, NO EXCEPTIONS - SMOKING INSIDE WILL forfeit THE SECURITY DEPOSIT.

GUEST’S PROPERTY & PERSONAL RISK: Any damage, breakages, theft and loss experienced by any of the Guest’s party during their stay are the Guest’s responsibility - The Owners take no responsibility for personal property and personal risk of any member of the Guest’s party during their stay.

SECURITY AGAINST LOSS OR DAMAGE TO THE PROPERTY:A preauthorised hold on the nominated credit card 48 hrs before check in will be required, and will be refunded after checkout inspection and the property has been cleaned. See payment policy for amount.

Payment Policy

PAYMENT METHOD: All bookings will be secured by way of Reservation Confirmation - All payments will by a valid debit or credit card – The Owners accept all major debit or credit cards including American Express with a 2.5% surcharge on all cards - Payments are processed through the secure Stripe payment gateway - Direct Deposit (EFT) payments may be considered at the time of a Reservation Confirmation on request of a booking Guest and at the Owners’ discretion. RENTAL DEPOSIT
TERMS: 50% Rental Deposit is payable with the Reservation Confirmation to secure the property booking - The Rental balance must be received in full 48 hours prior to occupancy – The Owners have the right to cancel the booking and attempt to re-let the property if the Rental balance is not paid according to these terms and conditions.

SECURITY DEPOSIT $500 will be required as a pre-authorised hold on the nominated credit card 48 hrs before check in, and will be refunded after checkout inspection and the property has been cleaned.

Cancellation Policy

GENERAL: All cancellations must be in writing to stay.glenellyn@gmail.com

GUEST CANCELLATION: In the event of a cancellation by the Guest the Rental Deposit or full Rental already paid is non-refundable unless the property is re-let for the entire booking period - The cancellation is also subject to an administration fee of $50 - In the event that the Security Deposit has already been paid it will be refunded in full.

OWNERS’ CANCELLATION: The Owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked however the Owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances - In the event that these alterations result in a cancellation of the booking by the Owners then any Rental amount and Security Deposit paid by the Guest prior to cancellation by the Owners will be refunded.

No refund for an unused portion of a holiday booking will be made. A change in booking dates attracts the same conditions as for cancellations. Public Holiday, Special events and concert dates have a NO REFUND POLICY.
