Terms & Conditions

Noise Policy
King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre is a family-friendly property, we are bound by regulations around excessive noise as determined by the Environment Protection Authority of Victoria. There are neighbouring properties in the valley and noise travels unhindered around the hills and through the bush, especially at night. Our policy is to maintain a minimal environmental impact so that others, as well as our guests, may enjoy the peace and beauty of the Pennyroyal Valley. Therefore, the management of King Parrot reserves the right to control the level of noise created on the property and in the evenings, noise must be kept to a minimum after 10:00pm on weekdays and 10:30pm on weekends.

Again, to retain the tranquillity of the valley for both our neighbours and our guest’s, loud music is not permitted at any time.

Management will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.
HIGH SEASON:
Final week of December to January 31 & Easter.
Easter minimum stay 4 nights.
Long Weekends & Melbourne Cup weekend minimum 3 nights.
LOW SEASON:
At all other times - minimum 2 night stay.
CHECK-IN time 2.00pm Low Season, 3.00pm High Season, Check-out 10.00am
Late departures may be available if previously arranged with management. Please feel free to ask during your visit.
The base price varies from cottage to cottage.
Campfire wood is charged at $50 per half cubic metre.
Under no circumstances is furniture, crockery, cutlery or kitchen equipment in general to be relocated to other cottages.
Departure – Kitchen must be left in a clean condition with all dishes washed and put away. Guests will be charged for additional cleaning if cottages are left in a dirty state. Guests will be charged for any damage or major breakages incurred during your stay.

To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions:

• Loss of key will incur a $40 replacement fee. Please advise immediately when key is lost or misplaced.
• Parties and functions are strictly prohibited.
• Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival.
• Check-out time is STRICTLY 10:00am
• Disturbance to other guests and our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental.
• Loss - the owners take no responsibility for the tenant's personal property.
• Strictly - No smoking is allowed in the building
• Visitors are not permitted unless prior arrangement and approval has been given by management.
• All alcohol consumed on premises is done so at own risk. King Parrot Cottages does not take any responsibility whatsoever for injury or accident caused by or to King Parrot Cottages guests or outside visitors either on or off the premises under any circumstances whatsoever. We recommend that outside visitors who intend to consume alcohol during their visit allocate a designated driver as taxis are not available.
• Pets are permitted in the cottages, however under no circumstances on the furniture or in beds. Please clean up after your pet. An additional cleaning fee will be charged if pets have been found to be on the furniture/bedding or mess left outside.
• Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner in writing.

TRAVEL INSURANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

CAMPGROUND:
• IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE: Accessible by 4WD and AWD vehicles ONLY. Two wheel drive vehicles will not be given access.
• King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre is a family-friendly property. For the comfort of all campers as well as neighbouring properties in the valley loud music is not permitted at any time. Management of King Parrot reserves the right to control the level of noise created on the property and in the evenings, noise must be kept to a minimum after 10:00pm. Please be respectful of other campers.

Where the entire property is hired exclusively through Management for a function the following conditions apply :
• Music must never exceed 90 decibels and must only be played inside the Hall.
• Music must be turned off by 11.00pm
• Those designated with the role of conducting music during events are to have prior consultation with Management.
• Function must finish strictly by 11.00pm.

DOGS:
Dogs are permitted at King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre
Please be considerate towards our other guests and do not cause any disruption.
Dogs must be under effective voice control or on a lead at all times.
Dogs are allowed inside the cottages but strictly not on furniture, so please bring your own pet bed.
Constant barking and/or howling is not acceptable. If your dog is disrupting guests, neighbours or wildlife it will be asked to leave.
We do not take responsibility for dogs.
Please note that there is no fenced area for your dog. Your dog will not be able to be left at King Parrot unattended.

Payment Policy

Holiday rentals:
A 50% deposit is required to secure any booking and the balance is due 2 weeks prior to arrival.
Conferences & Retreats:
$2000 deposit to secure a booking
100% to be paid within 2 weeks of date.
Weddings:
A $2000 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking more than 6 months from date
50% to be paid within 6 months of date
75% to be paid within 2 months of date
100% to be paid within 2 weeks of date.

The following surcharges are applicable for payment by credit cards:
1.5% Visa
1.5% Mastercard

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy
King Parrot Cottages strongly suggest that all guests take out appropriate Travel Insurance. King Parrot Cottages strictly follow the cancellation policies listed below:
More than 60 days from the due date – 50% of deposit forfeited.
Within 45 days of the due date – 100% of deposit forfeited.
Dates are not transferable.

Please Note - If a guest cancels and thus opens up the booking time slot for other guests to utilize the cottage and if an alternate guest books balance/or part of the previously cancelled time slot. King Parrot Cottages will re-imburse the original guests balance/or part of their original reservation costs minus any applicable service fee and/or booking fee.
