Terms & Conditions

Thank you for considering booking at our lodge on King Island. Below are the standard terms and conditions that apply to all bookings:

Booking Confirmation: Your booking will only be confirmed upon receipt of full fee.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your booking more than 60 days before your scheduled arrival, you will receive a full refund of your deposit. If you cancel your booking less between 30 and 14 days, you will be refunded 50% of the full rate, less than 14 days before your scheduled arrival, you will forfeit your deposit. In the event of a no-show, you will be charged the full amount of your stay.
Check-in and Check-out: Check-in time is from 2:00 pm and check-out time is before 10:00 am. Late check-outs may be subject to an additional fee.

Smoking: Smoking is not permitted inside any of our accommodation buildings. A cleaning fee will be charged to any guest who violates this policy.
Damages: Any damages to the property or its contents will be charged to the guest responsible.
Pets: We regret that we cannot allow pets on the property.

Liability: We do not accept any liability for any injury, damage or loss to guests or their property during their stay.
Force Majeure: We reserve the right to cancel or amend bookings in the event of circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, terrorism, or other unforeseen events.
By making a booking, you agree to these terms and conditions.

Payment Policy

At King Island Lodge, we aim to make the booking process as straightforward and easy as possible for our guests. To confirm your booking at our lodge, we require that the full fee for your stay is paid in advance.

Upon making a reservation with us, we will provide you with an invoice detailing the total cost of your stay, including any additional charges or fees. We will then require that you pay the full amount as specified on the invoice to confirm your booking.

We accept a variety of payment methods, including cash, credit cards, and EFTPOS. If you choose to pay by credit card or EFTPOS, please note that additional fees may apply, depending on the payment processor you use.

We recommend that you pay your full fee as soon as possible to secure your booking, as we are unable to guarantee availability until we receive payment in full. Once we receive your payment, we will send you a confirmation email with all of the details of your booking, including the dates of your stay, the number of guests, and any special requests you may have made.

If you need to make any changes to your booking after payment has been made, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your options. We will do our best to accommodate your needs, but please note that changes may be subject to additional fees or charges.

We understand that circumstances can change unexpectedly, and we want to be as flexible as possible with our guests. However, we must also manage our bookings and ensure that we can cover our costs, so we ask that you comply with our payment policy to secure your booking at King Island Lodge. Cancellation Policy

At King Island Lodge, we understand that plans can change unexpectedly, and we strive to provide our guests with a flexible cancellation policy. However, we also have to manage our bookings and ensure that we can cover our costs, so we have a set of clear policies in place regarding cancellations.

If you cancel your booking more than 60 days prior to your scheduled arrival, you will receive a full refund of your deposit. We will process this refund as soon as possible, and you can expect to see the funds returned to your account within a reasonable timeframe.

If you cancel your booking between 59 and 14 days before your scheduled arrival, you will be eligible for a 50% refund of your deposit. We will process this refund as soon as possible, and you can expect to see half of the funds returned to your account within a reasonable timeframe.

If you cancel your booking inside 14 days of your scheduled arrival, you will forfeit your full deposit. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any refund in this case as we will have made arrangements and preparations for your stay at the lodge.

In the event of a no-show, you will be charged the full amount of your stay, and no refund will be issued.

We understand that there may be extenuating circumstances beyond your control that prevent you from honoring your booking, and we are happy to discuss these situations with you on a case-by-case basis. However, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to provide a refund in every case, and any decision we make will be based on our policies and our ability to cover our costs.
