Terms & Conditions
Accommodation
Whilst care is taken to ensure that the description of facilities and services of the Kookaburra Lodge is accurate, these are continually being changed, upgraded and on occasion taken out of service. Kookaburra Lodge cannot be held liable for omissions or errors, whether temporary or permanent of our property’s facilities and services. Property room photos may not be specific to the actual room allocated. Photos are indicative only.
Management of the Kookaburra Lodge may refuse to provide accommodation to any person entering into a legal contract to purchase accommodation
• who is considered to be intoxicated or under the influence of illegal drugs. who is noisy and boisterous.
• who cannot pay for their accommodation in advance.
• who does not finalised their accommodation account upon arrival.
• who cannot prove who they say they are.
Payment
To confirm booking arrangements, a 50% deposit must be paid within 3 days from the date of the booking. If the deposit is not paid by the due date, Kookaburra Lodge reserves the right to cancel the booking. Payment can be made by credit card (Visa, MasterCard— please note cc payment incur a 1.5% surcharge) or direct deposit.
The balance is to be paid at least 30 days prior to arrival. If the date of the booking is within 30 days full payment is required at the time of the booking. Prices quoted are inclusive of GST. Prices quoted are in AUD and all payments must be made in AUD.
Cancellation or Refunds
Failure to arrive on the reserved booking date and cancellations after check-in, no refund will apply. Notice of Cancellation must be made in writing no later than 30 days prior to arrival and will incur the loss of the deposit paid. Cancellations made within 30 days prior to arrival will incur the loss of the full amount paid.
Arrivals
On arrival, guests are required to complete and are bound to the terms of the Kookaburra Lodge register form.
Guests under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 years of age. Check-in is between 3:00pm – 9:00pm. Check-out is by 10:00am at the latest. Guests are to notify the managers if their arrival and/or departure time is outside the listed hours. Occupancy commences and ends on the date as shown. Check out at the end of the occupancy is strictly 10am (unless special arrangements are made). You agree departure after that time may incur additional charges of $25per/hr or part thereof.
Responsibility
Kookaburra Lodge can sometimes include third party products in special packages. As an agent on behalf of this product or service, the Kookaburra Lodge shall not be liable under any circumstances for any failure by those service providers to fulfill their obligations nor for any error, alteration or change of any kind made by those service providers following the acceptance of the booking by them. All vouchers issued are subject to the terms and conditions specified by those service providers. Please note that all travel documents, observance of laws and regulations of various Governments are your responsibility. Every effort is made to ensure that information in this website is correct. Security Deposit and Photo Identification
Guests are required to provide a valued Visa or MasterCard credit card imprint on arrival for incidental charges. Where a credit card is not available a $200.00 cash bond will be required The length of the guests’ stay may vary the amount of cash deposit required. Valid photo identification must be presented at the time of check-in.
Malicious Damage
Guests are reminded that the cost of replacement or repair of any item that may go missing or that is damaged that goes beyond fair wear and tear and that is caused by the guests will be charged to their account and subsequently charged to their credit card provided at time of check in.
House Rules
1. Guests are expected to behave in a manner, which is conducive to the safety, comfort and convenience of other guests within the property.
2. A breach of any House Rule may result in the summary eviction of the offender at the discretion of the Manager.
3. A breach of House Rules include:
- Noisy, offensive and/or unruly behaviour;
- Damage to or destruction of property;
- Improper or unseemly conduct;
- Any act or omission, which, in the opinion of the Manager, adversely affects or brings discredit upon the Manager, owner or other guests.
- Bringing extra people onto the property.
4. In the event of an eviction, all monies will be forfeited.
It is also a condition of your occupation that the owners/management of the premises are not liable for any omission, defaults or neglect for accidents or injuries to occupiers or guests visiting and damages to or loss of any property which the occupier or their guests bring on to the premises apart from any liability under the Travellers Accommodation Providers (Liability) Act 2001.
Complaints
It is vital that guests report to the managers as soon as possible (including after hours if necessary) of any incident occurring in the units or on the premises in order to ensure that the issue is resolved immediately and effectively. Please do not try to resolve the matters of other guests on your own accord.
Issues which could not be resolved during your stay, a written and signed complaint must be submitted to the motel within 5 working days from the departure date.
Disclosure and Information Sharing
The motel will only disclose your personal information, unless we have your permission to expose your personal information, where we are abided by law to do so, we are request by you to carry out the necessary services; we reasonably believe that disclosure is necessary to prevent or lessen a serious and imminent threat to an individual’s life, health or safety or a serious threat to public health or safety; and or suspect that unlawful act is or has been made and this information is necessary for any part of investigation in the matter including us reporting our concerns to the relevant authorities.
Otherwise in order to protect your personal information we hold from misuse, loss, unauthorized access and or modification, we apply standard industry safety procedures for confidentiality. If there are any outstanding charges to the motel which has not been paid then the personal information is kept in our records until full payments are made. Once all accounts are clear between the customer and our motel, we then further no longer need your personal information and if you request us to discard your personal information we will destroy all your personal information from our system.
Fees chargeable to guest accounts may include, but are not limited to:
Damage due to: Smoking in units - all units are non-smoking. Unit degradation (such as vomit, bodily waste, general damage, pet/animal, excessive cleaning and rubbish) — Stolen or damaged unit items. Lost or stolen keys - $20 replacement. Any problem sufficient to result in the unit being withdrawn from its availability to be let i.e.: an un-saleable condition, extra daily room tariffs may be charged based on business demand at the discretion of the managers.
Visitor Policy
Only registered occupants of a room at the motel are permitted to be in that room. Visitors will be deemed to be trespassing and appropriate eviction will take place for visitors and registered guests, forgoing the right to a refund.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend you purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking. We suggest that the policy should include, but not limited to the following cover – loss of money through cancellation and medical expenses.
