Boutique, ocean-facing hostel on the south coast of Sri Lanka in the beach town of Hikkaduwa which is about 100kms from Colombo. Brilliant location – a three minute tuk tuk ride to the Hikkaduwa town and beach and a 500 metre walk to beautiful swimmable beaches on either side of the Lazy Koala.
Brilliant space – large spacious rooms/dorms. Every room/dorm has an ensuite with hot water taps and showers, an ocean facing balcony, and fans and air-conditioning. The Lazy Koala has a brilliant ocean-facing rooftop terrace and covered deck, two chill out areas, and a pool.
Fun activities – go surfing, canoeing, kayaking or snorkelling, visit the turtle hatchery or coral sanctuary, make a trip the Galle Fort, go whale watching in Mirissa, or use the rooftop deck as a yoga shala.
