Lone Pine Cottages is an Adult Retreat and the owners do not permit guests under the age of 18.
Situated just 600 metres west of the town's centre, this architect-designed private residence, is constructed from a mixture of rammed-earth and weather board, with timber flooring to all but the bedrooms (which are carpeted). Low profile “Hunter” ceiling fans and (ducted) reverse-cycle air-conditioning are both available and there’s a wood-look gas fire in the living room.
Quality furnishings are provided in the spacious open-plan living area and the fully-equipped chef's kitchen has a 900mm SMEG stove / oven, SMEG dish washer and quality pots and pans. There are bar stools at the kitchen bench and a timber dining table and chairs.
The living area has a large flat-screen TV, Blu-ray DVD player, an eclectic DVD library, Bose "SoundDock" system and original artworks by Astrid Dahl.
There’s a compact laundry with Miele appliances, an ironing board & iron; and a spacious study / office.
Wi-Fi is free and we have a Netflix connection and a library of films.
Bi-fold doors open out onto a broad deck which encompasses an outdoor setting and a gas-fired Weber BBQ. The delightful native gardens which surround Lone Pine Cottage bring in the birds which love to frolic in the bird bath.
Guests can choose to occupy 1 bedroom (1-2 persons) or 2 bedrooms (2-4 persons). Both have large en-suite bathrooms with shower, underfloor heating, plush pile towels and quality toiletries.
The king-sized beds can be split into 2 singles (with advance notice). If only 1 bedroom is requested and paid for, the others will be locked, however guests will have sole access to the house and all living areas.
Bathrobes are available; and we also provide guests with a pair of toweling slippers which can be used, then taken for personal use.

Where the booking is for 1-2 persons, only 1 bedroom will be available, except where guests agree to an additional payment of $100.00 per night.

Terms & Conditions

Check-in is from 3:00pm and check-out is no later than 11:00am.

We are extremely respectful of our cleaners and require that all items of cutlery, crockery, glassware and / or cookware should be properly washed, dried and placed away in cupboards; or (at least) put through a dishwasher cycle. While we choose to not apply a cleaning fee, we have barred guests from future occupation due to them leaving the kitchen in an untidy state.

No extra persons are permitted to stay overnight, except with the prior approval of the manager and at a cost of $60.00 – per person per night.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Our sewage disposal is via a treatment plant and the system blocks up if anything other than toilet paper is flushed down the toilet. No wipes, wet ones or sanitary pads should go into the toilet under any circumstance. JUST TOILET PAPER!

Payment Policy

For bookings via on-line travel agents: Conditions as stated by the OTA will apply.

For direct bookings: A non-refundable deposit equal to 1 night for bookings up to 7 nights (and a further 1 night for each subsequent 7 nights) will be taken at time of booking; and with the balance charged 14 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation Policy

For bookings via on-line travel agents: Conditions as stated by the OTA will apply.

For direct bookings: A refund will only be considered if and when the accommodation can be re-let. Please be assured that we will do everything possible to satisfy guests, if cancellation proves necessary.
