Nestled in the heart of 4 acres of lush tropical gardens are our six private, self contained, 1 bedroom apartments.
Lorhiti is an oasis of seclusion in one of the best locations on Lord Howe Island. Tucked away in a magnificent sub tropical rain forest but still the closest resort to stunning Ned's Beach and only minutes from shops, post office, cafes, restaurants, beaches, tours and attractions.
Once you arrive at Lorhiti you will forget the bustling mainland lifestyle and be immersed in the peaceful tranquillity, with only the sounds of singing birds, the breeze in the rain forest and the sea waves.
Our exotic gardens are home to many native birds and provide a beautiful backdrop from your private front or back veranda. From here you can greet the crystal morning with an outdoor breakfast and at the end of the day, relax and soak up the serenity.
Stroll two minutes from your veranda, along our private track, through magnificent banyan and palm groves to the brilliant white sand and crystal clear waters of Ned’s Beach where you can hand feed tame fish in barefoot bliss. Slip into the water for a snorkel where you’ll find over 500 species of fish including clown fish and wrasse providing spectacular underwater color.
Children under 10 years of age are not catered for.
Lorhiti is well known as a quiet, secluded retreat. Each apartment can cater for a maximum of 2 guests. The property is well situated away from roads and is close to all amenities. Peace and privacy are paramount at our boutique property, as are providing our guests with the best facilities possible. Most visitors stay a week or more and many come back again, year after year!

Our one bedroom Garden apartments are all newly appointed with luxury beds , furniture and fittings . The apartments are fully self contained with kitchens , crockery, cutlery, utensils, toaster sandwich maker, microwave , dining & lounge room , flat screen television , DVD/CD player , in room DVD library , free in room wireless internet, backgammon , cards & ceiling fan. Welcome starter kit of shampoo , conditioner, milk , tea & coffee. All washing detergent is provided for clothes and dishes.
The apartments have a separate bedroom with either a King bed or Twin King single beds , electric blankets, ceiling fan, clock radio / i pod docking station , roll away oil heater & en suite bathroom .
All linen is supplied along with tea towels, beach towels, bathrobes, sarongs & backpack.
Coffee plunger , umbrellas , hair dryer, vacuum & in room ironing facilities . There is a small rechargeable torch but this is not suitable for extended use . If you enjoy night walking it is suggested to bring a torch.
There is a sun deck off your bedroom & a private veranda with table & chairs off your front lounge. This is a lovely spot to have breakfast , lunch , a drink in the afternoon or dinner overlooking our beautiful sub tropical gardens.

Terms & Conditions
Payment Policy
Children under 10 years are not catered for.
A maximum of 2 guests in an apartment.
A deposit of 1 nights accommodation (per apartment booked) is required to secure your reservation.
During low season the minimum deposit is $300 per apartment.
This deposit is debited to your credit card at the time of booking, to hold your reservation.
There is a 1.97% card fee.
Full payment is due 2 months prior to travel.
If you book on a Special rate / HOT DEAL, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Cancellation Policy
There is no refund of deposit for any cancellation of bookings and for any travel that overlaps or falls between December 20 to January 20 each year.
During any other period, if there is more than 60 days’ notice of cancellation before travel, there is a full refund of any monies paid, less a $150 booking fee per unit.
There is no refund if booking is cancelled within the 60 days before travel. A change of travel dates at any time is deemed a cancellation and the new dates as a new booking, so the same cancellation fees apply.
*HOT DEALS/ Special Industry rate/ “Book & Pay” special rate bookings are non-refundable at any time. This includes direct bookings with Lorhiti and via a booking agent. Change of dates and modifications are not allowed.
Most reservations are made months in advance due to limited flights. No refund is given in the case of cancelled flights due to aircraft technicities and/or weather disruption on inbound or outbound flights. No refund is given in the event of a non-arrival, early departures, missed nights due to delayed arrivals or for any other reason (including but not limited to – natural disasters, pandemics). A no-show for any reason on the day of arrival will result in a 100% charge/no refund.
Rates are subject to change without notice. However, any changes to rates and conditions will apply to future bookings only, not to existing bookings where a deposit has been paid.
On the day of your departure, if your flight back to the mainland is cancelled and you must stay on the island, any extra night’s accommodation will be charged at the Standard rate and not the Special Industry rate that you may have paid for your original booking. The Standard rate is our rate for a 1-night stay, before any discounts are applied. This rate is usually quoted in our first correspondence. If you need clarification for the Standard rate for your period of stay, please contact us.
WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU PROTECT YOURSELF WITH TRAVEL INSURANCE, SO YOU CAN CLAIM ACCOMMODATION COSTS DUE TO CANCELLED FLIGHTS OR FOR ANY OTHER REASON.
Please ensure you take out the correct travel insurance to suit your needs and check their fine print.
