Mai Sunset Island Resort is on a small remote island tucked away in the Yasawa Group of Island of Fiji. This charming resort is a haven of natural beauty and warm hospitality where you can experience traditional Fijian culture. We are fortunate to be one of the few locations in the Pacific where the Fijian women casually stroll from the village to collect Sea Grapes, commonly known as ‘Nama’ to the locals, which is then transported and sold to the local markets.
When you arrive at Mai Sunset Island Resort, you will be greeted by a true sense of tranquility, from the palm tree lined beach to the lush tropical gardens that lead to your Bure, that have been designed to blend harmoniously into the surrounding landscape, providing a peaceful and intimate stay for our guests.

Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions are applicable to all guests booking either directly with Mai Sunset Island Resort (“MSIR”) or via a travel agent/online travel website.
Travel around the islands of Fiji can be affected by weather, boat issues or other unforeseeable events. We strongly encourage all our guests to purchase travel insurance to cover against these issues. In the event of circumstances beyond our control, we will not offer refunds for accommodation, meals, or transfers.
Payment Policy
We accept the following major credit and debit cards: Visa Credit and Debit Cards, Visa prepaid Debit Card, Mastercard Credit and Debit Cards, American Express. We are also happy to accept cash, however must be Fijian Dollars (FJD)
A 4% surcharge is payable on all credit and debit card payments for bookings at the resort. A NZD$25 bank fee on all international bank transactions.
There are no ATM or Cash-Out facilities on the island. If you wish to pay your bill in cash, please ensure you bring this with you.
All bookings require a 50% deposit immediately payable to secure the booking and will be confirmed upon receipt of your payment.
Please note, the resort has a compulsory meal plan that will match the number of nights booked. This will be included in your final balance.
30 days prior to your arrival, we will process the balance of your total costs, this will include:
• Total cost of accommodation
• Total cost of Compulsory Meal Plans at FJD $135 per person per day (your meal starts at lunch on your booking arrival date)
• 4% credit card transaction fee
Arrival and departure details must be supplied no later than 7 days prior to arrival (or supplied at time of booking within 7 days of travel)
All outstanding charges are to be paid upon check out.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation notice must be received in writing by email, the receipt of which needs to be acknowledged by MSIR.
Free cancellation up to 31 days of arrival
50% cancellation fee: 15-30 days prior to arrival
100% cancellation fee: 14 days prior to arrival
100% cancellation fee for “No show” or days not used due to early departure.
MSIR are quoted in Fijian Dollars and are inclusive of taxes. Rates are subject to change without notice. MSIR reserves the right to alter prices and implement surcharges if necessary.
