Two newly renovated properties are available for guests to experience.

‘Clements House’, one of the original homesteads in McLaren Flat, is located amongst sprawling vineyards and sits right next door to The Currant Shed, rated the number #1 "Hidden Gem" restaurant in Australia by TripAdvisor.

‘Hillside House’ is modern and elegant, and also situated within walking distance to the restaurant. It is perched privately atop a gentle hill that oversees the entire property, with stunning views across the vineyards to the Mt Lofty Ranges.

We are only too happy to help you get the most out of your visit, and are on hand to assist with local recommendations and bookings to ensure your stay is both relaxing and memorable.

Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance
These terms and conditions are accepted by you upon payment (deposit or in full).

2. Rates and Payment
Room rates may vary daily based on season and demand.
Base rate price includes 2 adults per stay and will include linen and amenities for 2 people, and the use of one double room.
For every 2 additional persons booked to stay, additional linen/amenities and an extra bedroom will be available, up to a maximum 6 guests / 3 rooms per house.
A deposit of 30% of the total cost is payable at the time of booking to secure the reservation. The full balance is payable 14 days prior to check-in, in addition to a bond payment of $300 that is refundable once the property/s have been inspected post-check out.
If this is not received, McLaren Vale Getaways reserve the right to cancel the booking and reopen bookings for those dates.

3. Cancellations
All cancellations must be done in writing by emailing us at emily@mclarenvalegetaways.com.au
- Cancellations received more than 30 days prior check-in: deposit/all payments are fully refundable
- Cancellations received between 30 days and 7 days prior check-in: 30% deposit is non-refundable
- All cancellations received 7 days or less prior to check-in: No refund available

4. Check in and Check out
Check-in is available from 2pm on day of arrival, check-out is 10am on day of departure.

5. Keys / Property Access
Keys will be provided in a number locked key safe found outside each house. Access codes will be shared prior arrival via e-mail.
Upon check-out, doors are to be locked and keys left in this key safe.

6. Pets
Dogs are welcome, but must strictly be kept off the couches and carpeted areas.
Please also be aware that the area is unfenced, so it is essential to ensure they are supervised. It is also important to note that we share our space and vineyards with a vast array of wildlife, including resident populations of kangaroos. If your dog has a tendency to chase, please make sure they are well secured, as dogs will come off second best if they have a run-in with a kangaroo. We do not accept responsibility for any injury sustained by pets that accompany guests onto the property.

7. Vineyards
In order to protect our vines from diseases that can be transferred on clothing, we require that guests keep to designated tracks when exploring and do not venture into the vineyards. Please also note that the areas around our properties are working vineyards. Please take care when walking to watch for any machinery/vehicles that may be operating in the area.

8. Fire Danger / Rural Location
Our properties are considered rural and are both located within the Mount Lofty Ranges District. Although dates vary, generally Fire Danger Season is declared between the months of November and April. It is recommended that guests familiarise themselves with the daily Fire Ratings during this period, and these can be found at www.cfs.sa.gov.au. An evacuation map is located within each house and should be kept front-of-mind on Severe/Extreme/Catastrophic Danger days.

9. No Smoking
Inside the house is strictly a no-smoking area, however an ashtray has been provided on the outside table near the BBQ. Full or partial bonds will be kept to cover costs for professional cleaning if smoking inside the properties is apparent.
Please also be aware that this is a rural area where bushfires do sometimes occur, so we ask that guests be extremely careful when disposing of their cigarette butts.

10. Cleaning
We respectfully request that all used bedsheets and towels are stripped and left in a pile on the floor in the bathroom, and that the overall properties are left in a satisfactorily tidy state upon check-out. Should it be deemed that a property will require excessive cleaning, we reserve the right to withhold the full or partial bond to cover extra cleaning costs.

11. Breakages
We understand that sometimes accidental breakages or damage may occur to things in and around the house. We ask that any incidents are reported so that we can rectify for our next guests.
Should damage be considered wilful or excessive, we reserve the right to withhold full/partial bonds or claim compensation to retrieve costs from guests.

12. Injury, Loss and Damage
McLaren Vale Getaways, its owners and employees do not accept liability for injury, loss, damage or inconvenience during the guest’s stay. By acceptance of these terms, all guests hereby release the owners from any liability that may arise during or as a result of their stay. We do not accept responsibility for guest’s personal property.
