This solar powered home built with recycled and new materials, rustic charm and modern facilities is situated on 20 acres in a peaceful haven 15 mins from Wanaka. We have stunning mountain views across rural Upper Clutha to Treble Cone and the Southern Alps. We can accommodate 6 people in one Master Queen room, one Twin room and one lounge with a double sofa bed. We offer free Wifi and are here to talk with you about your plans and offer tips on the best things to do in this area.
We provide teas and coffee however no breakfast.
Meet your Hosts, Steve & Liz the builders and owners of this earth friendly home and lush organic property designed on permaculture principles. You are welcome to wander around the grounds enjoying our fruit, hazelnut and sugar maple trees, enjoy our spectacular summer cottage garden and taste the produce from our vegetable garden.
Discover our beautiful area with hiking and mountain bike trails, lakeside walks and swimming within 5 – 10 minutes and an abundance of activities in Wanaka.
Wanaka has amazing restaurants and cafes for casual or fine dining, 2 boutique movie theatres – one very up market and small and one very funky!

Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing to stay at Mitchella Farm.
This is a strictly Non Smoking property.
We will only cancel your stay if the accommodation becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control.
You may contact us about bringing your pet dog.
Babies and children are welcome, we do provide a port a cot however you will need to provide the bedding. We have a highchair. Babies 12months or under are free of charge, all other children from 13months incur a $30 fee per night.
Your accommodation is available at 4pm on the day of arrival unless arranged otherwise, please inform us if you will be later than 9pm.
Please vacate your room by 10am on the morning of your departure.
We do not have a full kitchen in the 3 bedroom apartment however we do have a BBQ. The Queen Studio does has full kitchen facilities.
Breakfast is not provided however we have teas, coffee and milk.
You are responsible and liable for any breakages you incur to the accommodation or it's contents. We ask you to please report any incidents when they occur.
A $70 cleaning fee applies to all bookings.

Payment Policy

We require 10% deposit 1 week prior to your arrival to secure your booking.

We offer a full refund up to and including 1 week before your booking.
There is a 50% refund if you cancel within 24 hours of your arrival.
