Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your stay at Mullum Motel, Mullumbimby. By making a booking, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions on behalf of your party. Please ensure you read and understand them, and that your booking aligns with your needs and our policies. Note that these terms may change without prior notice, and any updates will apply to future bookings.

Rates and Pricing Policy
All rates on this website are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and may change without prior notice. Rates include Goods and Services Tax (GST), where applicable, and are quoted per room, per night, on a room-only basis unless specified otherwise. Minimum stay requirements may apply during peak periods or special events. Prices and additional charges should be confirmed at the time of booking, as they may fluctuate.

Verbal quotes are estimates and are subject to written confirmation following booking. Mullum Motel reserves the right to amend rates at any time across all booking channels, including third-party websites such as Booking.com and Expedia.

Payment
Full payment for all reservations is required at the time of booking or as soon as possible thereafter, in accordance with the reservation policy selected at the time of booking and via the booking channel through which the reservation was made. Non-refundable bookings will be charged at the time the reservation is made. All other bookings will be charged in line with the cancellation policy selected at the time of booking.

A surcharge of 2.6% applies to VISA and Mastercard transactions, and a surcharge of 2.9% applies to American Express payments. If damage or additional cleaning is required during your stay, charges will be applied to your credit card to cover the costs incurred.

Cancellation Policy
All bookings are strictly non-refundable. Once a reservation is confirmed, no refunds will be issued for cancellations, amendments, or no-shows.

Occupancy Policy
The occupancy of our rooms is limited to the number of guests specified at the time of booking or as indicated during check-in. Additional bedding is not permitted. Any individuals exceeding the maximum occupancy of the booked room will be asked to leave by management.

Check-in
Mullum Motel welcomes guests to check in from 2pm to 9pm at The Middle Hotel.

We understand that sometimes you may need to check in prior to 2pm. Please call one day prior to your arrival to request early preparation of your room to allow for an earlier check-in. Our team will do their best to accommodate you and prioritize your arrival; however, we cannot guarantee this request.

Check-out
Check-out time is 10am. We understand that you may wish to enjoy the day in Mullumbimby. In such cases, please ask our friendly staff if you may store your luggage with us, continue parking in our free parking bays, and/or continue to use our facilities outside of your room. We will do our best to accommodate you, but such requests are subject to availability and occupancy.

A late check-out fee will apply if the room is not vacated by the specified check-out time.

Identification
Guests must present valid photo identification at check-in for security purposes.

The booking must be made under the name of the person checking in.

A credit card in the name of the photo identification must be provided at check-in.

Unaccompanied Minors
Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The property reserves the right to refuse check-in to any unaccompanied minor who cannot provide valid photo identification upon request.

Pet Policy
Mullum Motel does not permit pets on the premises, except for certified assistance animals (e.g., sight or hearing dogs).

Guests found in violation of this policy will be evicted immediately without a refund and will incur a $200 cleaning fee.

Behaviour & Noise Policy
For the comfort and consideration of our guests, Mullum Motel operates a "No Party Policy." Management reserves the right to refuse accommodation at their discretion. We also reserve the right to have guests removed from the premises without a refund. Visitors are not permitted on the property after 5pm.

Smoking Policy
Smoking in any rooms is strictly prohibited. This includes tobacco, e-cigarettes, marijuana, incense, and any other forms of smoking or open flames. If there is any evidence of smoking inside rooms, a cleaning fee of $300 will be charged.

Room Servicing Policy
Upon check-in, rooms are furnished with fresh linen and towels. Housekeeping services are available daily from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

While "Do Not Disturb" signs will be respected, staff may need to enter the room for safety checks, maintenance, or housekeeping. In cases of emergency or essential intervention, management reserves the right to access rooms even if a "Do Not Disturb" sign is displayed.

Special Requests
While every effort is made to accommodate special requests, these are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Parking
A limited number of parking spaces are available on the property, with additional street parking options nearby. Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk, and the Motel is not liable for any damage or theft.

If a vehicle remains in the parking area after check-out without the Motel’s consent, the Motel reserves the right to remove the vehicle at the owner's expense.

Damage, Behaviour, and Additional Charges
Charges for Damages
Mullum Motel reserves the right to charge guests for any damages, breakages, lost keys, missing room items, extra cleaning, and unpaid expenses incurred during their stay. Guests will be held liable for any damage caused to the property due to deliberate, negligent, or reckless behaviour.

Tampering with, interfering with, or setting off fire safety equipment (e.g., smoke detectors, fire extinguishers) is strictly prohibited. Violators will be responsible for any emergency service costs (e.g., NSW Fire & Rescue) incurred and may face immediate eviction.

Any damage discovered after check-out may result in charges being applied to the guest's credit or debit card.

Liability
You acknowledge that we do not accept liability for any injury, damage, loss, additional expenses, and disruptions due to electrical storms or other acts caused directly or indirectly by events which are beyond our control and agree not to make any claim in relation thereto.

Governing Law
The law of New South Wales governs your use and occupancy of the property during your stay and in relation to your reservation. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
