Ohiwa Seascape Studios may at any time and without any notice make improvements and/or changes in the products and/or the programs described in this information.

Check-in and check-out times:
Check-in time is from 3pm on the day of arrival. Check-out time is 11am on the day of departure. Late check-outs may be arranged directly with Ohiwa Seascape Studios.

Non-Smoking Policy:
Smoking is not permitted in the studios or Honey Loft. Should you and/or your guests smoke in the studios or Honey Loft a cleaning fee of $150 will apply. You will also be responsible for any costs, damage, or liability arising as a result of smoking and/or any smoke detectors being activated by you.

Guest’s Obligations:
The guest shall be responsible for the property during the guest’s stay. This responsibility includes: taking reasonable care of the property; reporting any damages during the guests stay and leaving the property at the end of stay with all utensils, fixtures, fittings and equipment on, in or about the property in a clean and tidy condition. The guest must not remove anything from the property.
The guest shall be liable for any breakages or damage caused to the property or any part thereof, or any chattels therein, that may occur during the guest’s stay.
The guest is responsible for making sure that there is no use of illegal substances or conduct of illegal activities at the property and/or any activities that could invalidate the insurance policy, as they are strictly prohibited.
Guests must be aware that water is precious as there is no council in Ohiwa. W request guests are careful with water usage.
Guests must be aware that septic systems are used here at Ohiwa and only items that have passed naturally through the body, and toilet paper may be placed in the toilets. Any items that can cause damage to the septic system, including sanitary items, must be disposed if in the bins provided. Charges for repairs caused by the incorrect disposal of items can be on-charged to the guests.
Housekeeping::
Excessively littered and/or dirty conditions at check-out will result in extended housekeeping hours at an additional cost of $50 including GST. Should it be necessary to clean carpets, remove stains, repaint, repair finishes, or replace furnishings, textiles, or home wares, you will be charged for labour, materials, and merchandise, plus a 20% service and handling fee. Excess cleaning costs will be charged to the credit card provided.
 
Cancellations:
A cancellation within 24 hours before check-in time (3pm) or a No Show will incur the first night charge.
The guest can cancel free of charge until 24 hours before check-in time.

Amendments:
Amendments can be made free of charge until 24 hours before check-in time.

Rates:
All rates are GST (15%) inclusive and are in New Zealand dollars (NZ$).
All reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Child ages:
A child must be 8 years or older to be able to share an accommodation with its parents or caregiver.

Additional guests:
Our accommodations are designed to accommodate a maximum of 2 guests. Any request to accommodate an additional guest has to be made at least 24 hours before check-in time, requires the permission of Ohiwa Seascape Studios and will be charged an extra $40.00 per night.

Pets:
With the exception of medically certified guide dogs, pets are not permitted.

Special requests:
Special requests are on a request only basis and cannot be guaranteed.

We reserve the right to refuse a reservation at any time from any person if we reasonably believe the person:

- is not the person named on the reservation
- is not able to pay for any additional charges
- may cause damage to the property or other guests
- may exhibit socially unacceptable behaviour
- is younger than 18 years and not accompanied by a reasonable person over that age

We reserve the right to eject guests who behave in a socially unacceptable way, causing damage, disturbing other guests or using unacceptable language. No refund will be given and charges will apply for any damage caused.

Payment can be made on arrival using credit card, EFTPOS or cash.
