Property Information

Quobba Station
99485098
1 Blowholes Rd
Carnarvon WA 6701 Australia

Quobba is a family owned and operated pastoral station with 80km of harsh, unpredictable and remarkable coastline bordering the Indian Ocean. Situated at the Southern tip of the Ningaloo Reef Marine Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it’s ‘lush and colourful underwater scenery provides a stark and spectacular contrast with the arid and rugged land’. The Quobba experience includes land-based game fishing, isolated beaches, world-renowned surfing, snorkelling, whale watching and abundant marine and native wildlife! Owned by the Meecham family for over 45 years, the property also runs Damara’s (a type of meat sheep originating from Namibia) that can be spotted roaming the paddocks while you explore the coastline.

Your choice of accommodation ranges from fishing shacks and cottages to chalets beautifully situated overlooking the Indian Ocean. There are multiple caravan and bush camping sites on Quobba with a range of powered, unpowered and waterfront sites available. Please be aware that while the Homestead is easily accessible by 2WD (10km of unsealed road into the campsite), 4WD’s are recommended if you are looking to explore the coast.

Something to seriously consider before your stay!
Quobba is as rugged as it is spectacular. Expect nature at its rawest, not a luxury getaway. Depending on the season, you will be exposed to the elements. There is little we can do about the natural environment. Refunds will not be given if the sound of the waves is too loud, sand on the beach isn’t white enough, if it’s too windy or too hot, if there's too many critters, mice or flies, if the swell is too big or if there’s too much dirt. You are coming to a unique slice of Australia and we ask that you understand this before you visit. Do not come if you cannot respect this.

2023 Ningaloo Solar Eclipse
A rare total solar eclipse, when the sun, earth and moon align in unison, is set to occur on the 20th of April.
