Yaguna Staff House is situated 100m from the beach, overlooking the Lorne Pier and the Grand Pacific Hotel. We provide accomodation to people employed in Lorne in a variety of accomodation types from bunks and 'Pods', to single and double private rooms. The staff house is available for minimum 2 week stay, to anyone who is employed in Lorne.

Terms & Conditions

Terms and conditions of your stay at the ‘Yaguna’ Staff House, Lorne

1. You must use the room for residential purposes only. You cannot run a business in your room.

2. You must keep your room clean and safe.
You must keep your room clean so that it does not become a fire risk, a safety risk or a health risk.
You must get written permission from the owner if you want to install or attach anything in your room (or anywhere else in the Staff House) that might cause damage when you remove it or take it down.

3. You must tell Staff Housing Australia if you notice that anything is broken or damaged.
You must tell the owner or agent if you or your visitors damage anything in your room or the rooming house. (This doesn’t apply to ‘fair wear and tear’ – for example, when a carpet starts to wear out or the sun fades a curtain.)
You must pay the owner for any damage you or your visitors cause.
If you notice that anything in your room or the rooming house is broken or damaged you must tell Staff Housing Australia.

4. You must not do any of the following.
You must not keep an animal in the rooming house unless the owner or agent has said that you can.
You must not use your room for any illegal purpose.
You must not let your visitors use your room for any illegal purpose.
You and your visitors must not do anything in or near the rooming house that will stop other residents from using and enjoying the rooming house.
You and your visitors must not do anything in or near the rooming house that affects the privacy of other residents or disturbs their peace and quiet.

5. You must follow the House rules as described (These are posted throughout the building);
Be considerate of the other residents of the staff house.
Respect and care for the staff house, and any equipment that the staff house owner has provided to me, and not damage any of the items.
Keep my room and space clean and safe. This includes washing my bed sheets and not overloading power outlets.
Immediately tell Staff Housing Australia about any damage I see or cause (please see the contacts list).
Ensure that my visitors do not damage the staff house or disrupt other residents.
Tidy any common areas after I use them, and make sure they are in the same condition as they were before I used them.
Give Staff Housing Australia 5 days notice when I decide to move out.
Leave my room clean and tidy, take my personal things with me, and not take any of the things supplied to me by the staff house owner to use during my stay, when I move out.
You must not use your room or the rooming house for any illegal purpose.
You must not consume or store illicit substances inside the staff house.
The entire house is a NO SMOKING area. This is for your own safety as well as that of the other occupants.
Parking is not permitted on the grass in front of the house and the driveway is to remain clear at all times. Parking is permitted in the parking area behind the house and along Armytage Street. Parking may also be available in the GPH gravel carpark by arrangement with the GPH (Please contact GPH directly regarding this).
Failure to pay rent will result in a 48hr notice to vacate. Booking deposits will be forfeit in this instance.
Visitors to the Staff House are allowed strictly between the hours of 8am-10pm only.
Noise in common areas including the balcony and rear outdoor areas is to be kept to a minimum after 11pm.

6. Leaving the Staff House
You must give 5 days notice that you wish to leave the rooming house.
When you leave the rooming house you must leave the room clean and tidy and:
You must leave the keys with the owner of the rooming house or the agent and
You must not take any furniture or any other things supplied by the rooming house owner.

Payment Policy

Cash payments are to be deposited directly to the Bendigo Bank, Lorne Branch (1/32 Mountjoy Parade, Lorne VIC 3232). Please use your last name as the reference.

If you work for the Grand Pacific Hotel or the Lorne Beach Pavilion, your rent will be deducted directly from your wage.

Cancellation Policy

Cancelations inside 14 days of your check-in date will result in the forfeit of your booking fee.

Booking fees will be refunded for cancellations made prior to the 14 days of check in however, an administration fee of $25 will apply.
