Swan House has three units, all with your own private entrance and off street car park. All rooms have been renovated and modernised to a high standard. Each suite is beautifully decorated and designed to maximise your comfort during your stay. There are two very spacious, self contained suites (queen + single beds in each) and one queen bedroom with compact lounge. The two self contained suites have their own ensuites, while the queen bedroom with compact lounge has its own bathroom, the toilet being through the adjacent laundry. A fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, toaster, lounge furniture, free Wifi, Netflix and SKY (Freeview TV only in Unit 1) are available in each suite. Continental breakfast is provided in your room to have at your leisure. Breakfast includes cereal, yoghurt, peaches, and toast with spreads.

Our property is set on ½ acre of beautifully landscaped gardens. We have a large 36m2 deck for our guests to use exclusively at the front of the property. Each unit looks out onto the front garden and you will wake to bird song each morning. We are a 10 minute stroll to the Martinborough Square, restaurants, cafes, bars, clothing and giftware stores, etc. We have complimentary bikes available for our guests to use to explore Martinborough’s flat landscape and the vineyards. (There are only usually 4 bikes, so it is first in first served)

Your hosts are warm and friendly and understand the importance of delivering excellent customer service. We will go out of our way to ensure you experience the very best of Kiwi hospitality. As lovers of food and wine, we are thoroughly enjoying researching the wonderful restaurants, cafes, bars and vineyards on offer in Martinborough. This ensures that we can make recommendations to our guests that cater for your individual requirements. You will not get lost in the crowd at Swan House! We are a small boutique operation where we do know your name.

Terms & Conditions

Arrival and Departure
Check in is available from 1.00pm on the day of arrival. Check-in times outside of those specified must be confirmed with us prior to arrival.
We ask that you please vacate your room by 10.00am on the morning of departure. Please let us know what time you are expecting to arrive at time of booking.

Reservations
Please note the cancellation policy before committing to a reservation. In order for us to confirm a reservation your credit/debit card is required to secure your booking. Payment is taken from this card when you are due to arrive.

Cancellation Policy
We are a small business, so cancellations can have a big impact on us, especially if we have turned away potential guests in favour of someone who has already booked and who then cancels. We do, however, appreciate that unforeseen circumstances can intervene, and we try to be as sympathetic and helpful as possible in such cases. In the event of a cancellation up to 14 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival a refund will be issued.

Car Parking
Limited car parking is available for in – house-guests’ only at Swan House Martinborough, one park per unit. On street parking on Dublin Street is also available. Cars parked here are at owner’s risk.

Change of Room
If a booking is taken out for a specific room and the room reserved is required to meet a specific guest needs or rendered unusable via circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to transfer the booking to an alternative room.

Damage and Breakages
Please take care of our rooms. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur especially if you accidentally spill something – it’s much easier to clean if we know what it is and act quickly. We would appreciate that you do not eat on the beds. We do not normally charge for breakages, but we reserve the right to charge for repair or making good if the damage is significant.

Keys
You have access to your room 24 hours a day throughout your stay using the key given to you when you arrive. You have full responsibility of these keys for the duration of your stay. Lost keys will be charged at $15.00 per set. Please keys by the coffee machine in your room when you vacate.

Liability
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions.

Lost Property
We are happy to return items that have been left following departure. However, there will be a minimum charge of $15.00 to cover postage and packaging.

Missing Items
We reserve the right to charge for missing items.

Pets
Pets are not permitted. Guide dogs are the only exception.

Prices
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. This does not affect bookings already made.

Smoking
Smoking is NOT permitted within any part of Swan House internal rooms. A smoking area is provided outside. Please note that offending guests may be asked to leave immediately and may be liable for professional cleaning of any rooms and any outstanding balance of nights booked but not taken through early departure.

Termination Policy
Swan House reserves the right, at its discretion, to terminate, without notice, an individual’s stay where deemed necessary through unacceptable behaviour or as a result of actions which are likely to endanger or offend others (Please note that non compliance of our non smoking policy may constitute termination).
