The Longhouse sits proudly overlooking the magical Karitane beach and Otago coastline minutes from state Highway 1 and just 45kms or 30 mins drive north of Dunedin. A world away from city life the Longhouse is the perfect excuse to escape to the country and just relax. Enjoy our stunning sunrises, vivid seascapes with a glass of wine in hand and pursue our dinner menu based on seasonal and locally sourced produce.

Check out time is strictly 10am
Arrival times are from 2pm to 8pm
For arrivals and departures outside of these times please advise at the time of reservation. For early morning arrivals please notify us. If possible you can book in immediately otherwise we can store your bags until your room is available at 2pm that day.
NB: The Longhouse is not suitable for children under 10 years of age.
Payment Policy
This reservation is guaranteed to the credit card you have provided. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
Reservations may be charged prior to arrival to guarantee bookings. We have a 1.05 % credit card surcharge.
Please be aware that a credit card will be taken at check-in for a pre-authorisation (at a set amount) and current photo identification (passport for international guests) will be required.
Cancellation Policy
Any cancellations or amendments to your booking must be made in writing (email) and received at the Longhouse no later than 2pm 7 days prior to our arrival. Cancellation within 7 days: the full rate of one nights accommodation.
Any “no-shows”, late cancellations or early departures we receive after this time will incur the full rate of one nights accommodation.
