The Platypus Accommodation & Cafe

The Platypus Accommodation & Cafe is newly renovated. We offer various room sizes from queen, twin single, family and two bedroom suites. All very spacious bedroom with all the comforts you'd expect and hope to find whilst on your travels. Each room equipped with plantation shutters, a 40' smart TV with Netflix capabilities, free Wi-Fi, reverse cycle air conditioner, bar fridge, kettle and ceiling fans for your comfort.

For ease and convenience we use a self check-in system which allows guests to enter at their own leisure 24 hours, seven days a week. At booking confirmation, guests will be sent a secure and original door code via text and email which will remain active during your stay.

Our in-house cafe offers scrumptious home style meals for guests.

Terms & Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Platypus Accommodation must be advised as to the number of guests and beds required to ensure the correct room type is allocated. Number of beds in each room category differs and so if not advised the motel will allocate one bed only.

Please read the cancellation policy applicable to your arrival date. We have a strict change or cancellation policy for Friday & Saturday nights and Christmas and New Year.

• All rooms are non-smoking. $150 will be charged to your credit card if you smoke in the room.
• No person under 18 years of age will be allowed to stay without an adult in residence.
• No parties are allowed in rooms, only the designated amount of guests per room.
• Any guests behaving in an excessively noisy or unruly behaviour that disturbs other guest will be asked to leave with no refund of money.
• Check in is at 2.00pm Check out is at 10.00am.
• Any booking arriving after midnight without advising the hotel, we will not honour the booking unless previously arranged.

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR POLICY– 3 DAY MINIMUM
*early check outs will incur full 3 days
** Full payment will be charged to your credit card as provided on the 1st December for any dates between 23rd December and 7th January. We do not accept cancellations or changes after 12 noon 12th December and do not refund the monies taken. We do not refund if booking is reduced to less than 3 days.

Payment Policy

PAYMENT POLICY
• All Internet bookings are charged 50% of the room fee at the time of the booking and the remainder will be charged 48 hours prior to arrival date. (Excludes Christmas and New Year)

• DIRECT DEPOSIT TO THE PLATYPUS BSB: 082 771 ACC: 702 929 236

-Credit Card payments will incur a 1.9% merchant surcharge.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY
• All internet and direct bookings will be charged a deposit of 50% at the time of booking and the balance 48 hours prior to arrival.
• Cancellation 30 days or more prior to arrival date will be 100% refundable.
• Cancellations between 30 days and 2 days of arrival will incur a 50% non-refundable fee.
• Cancellations within 2 days of arrival will result in the full payment of the room hire.
• All late cancellation or non-arrivals will incur full charges and we will not refund any money charged.
