Thistle Hill Guesthouse

Thistle Hill is a luxurious guest house set amongst nearly 20 acres of rolling lawns, gardens, orchards, vineyard, dams and wooded areas in the heart of the beautiful Hunter Valley only 2.5 hours from Sydney and central to all the wineries, restaurants, breweries and all the best the Hunter Valley has to offer . Our Guesthouse is the perfect venue for 16 guests (more in triple share) and our 5 bedroom Luxury villa for 10-12 guests.

We have 8 beautiful French Provincial styled bedrooms with ensuites, air con, refrigerators, tea and coffee making facilities, indoor and outdoor seating, a communal lounge room with a fire for the colder months, and poolside for warmer weather, all overlooking our vineyard. Our French farmhouse dining room overlooks rolling lush green lawns and manicured gardens. All rooms have free wifi, as do the are two guest lounge areas, one with a fireplace for relaxing in the cooler months. Ample free parking available. The guest pool has endless decks and seating to enjoy the dam, garden and vineyard views, and the huge sandstone fire pit is well stocked with wood and the perfect place to chill in the evenings.

Our New 5 bedroom Luxury Villa has 3 lounge rooms, 3.5 bathrooms, gourmet kitchen, walk in pantry, dining room, breakfast bar, full size French door fridge, laundry, private pool and yard, outdoor covered entertaining area, 12 seater outdoor table and ample onsite parking.

Thistle Hill Guesthouse is the perfect venue for conferences, family gatherings, small weddings or elopements, special birthdays and celebrations, small corporate events, girls weekends and health retreats. Conference packages are available and chef/caterers can be arranged.

We are located on the newly upgraded Hermitage Road with direct access from the Hunter expressway featuring a bike path the length of Hermitage Rd to easily visit many local attractions. Electric bike hire can be organised/delivered to the property.

Terms & Conditions

In selecting "Book Now" I authorise Thistle Hill Guesthouse take payments from my credit card as provided, and instruct the financial institution that issued my card to in accordance with the terms of my reservation and agreement with Thistle Hill Guesthouse.

Payment Policy

All bookings require a deposit at time of reservation. Balance must be paid 30 days prior to arrival for individual rooms and 40 days for group bookings.

Bond for all group bookings: $2,000 for Villa or 8 rooms or $4,000 if booking both, which is payable before arrival and will be refunded within 7 days of departure if no damage or loss has occurred.

If noise curfews are broken a $500 call out fee per visit will apply. American Express credits cards 3% surcharge Visa and MasterCard credit cards 1.5% surcharge. Cards will be processed 30 days prior to check in. Payment made via bank transfer will not incur a fee.

Cancellation Policy

All payments are non-refundable, if a credit is offered, they will be valid for a 12-month period.

Cancellations/date changes for individual room bookings less than 30 days will incur a 100% of your total fee. Individual room rebooking fee $50.

Villa & Exclusive Use bookings
Date changes more than 40 days prior to arrival will incur a fee of $300
Postponement less than 40 days prior to arrival will incur a fee of 100% of your total package
