Terms & Conditions

To help facilitate an enjoyable stay for all guests, please read and follow these requirements.

1. By staying at Wanderers Retreat, you accept these terms and conditions, and responsibility for your actions, the actions of those travelling with you and of any visitors.

2. Full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept Visa and Mastercard. Credit card payments attract a merchant fee of 1.95%. Direct deposits are fee free.

3. Check in:
• Weekdays 2pm to 6pm
• Weekends and public holidays 2pm to 4pm
• Late check-in by prior arrangement.

4. Check out: 10am
• Fees may apply for late check out.

5. Cancellations depend on rate selected. Refundable bookings are subject to a $50 administration fee and merchant fees.

7. The reservation must be in the name of the person checking in. A credit card and photographic identification with residency must be provided.

8. All guests must be identified on the reservation. Occupancy rates apply and include infants. Additional guests are subject to approval and must be paid for at check-in. Swapping guests mid-stay is not permitted. Management reserves the right to close rooms that are surplus to reservation numbers.

9. Wanderers Retreat is for "Guests Only", to ensure the amenity for everyone. Visitors are only permitted with the prior approval from management and may incur additional charges.

10. Private functions must be approved by management and may require a bond.

11. Quiet hours are between 10pm and 8.30am. All noise that would disturb others is prohibited between these hours. Excessive noise is not permitted at any time.

12. The kitchen and BBQ must be left clean and tidy. All dishes are to be placed in the dishwasher or hand washed, dried, and returned to where they were found. Rubbish and recycling are to be placed in the bins provided.

13. Spa baths (cottages 5, 6, 8, 12 and Beach House)
• Children must be directly supervised by an adult at all times when the spa is in use.

14. Hot tubs (cottages 1, 3, 7, 8, 10 and beach house):
• Must have safety covers and access gates kept closed and secured at all times when not in direct use.
• Children must be directly supervised by an adult at all times when in the hot tub, jumping is prohibited.
• Do not place anything on the hot tub covers. They are light weight and damages must be paid for.
• Are closed after 8am on the day of check-out.

15. Fireplaces (cottages 8, 12) are operational only in winter months.

16. Excess charges may include but are not limited to:
• Additional guests not included in the reservation.
• EV charging, $42 per charge per day, based on 0.625 cents per KW for cost of supply x 60KWh EV capacity plus merchant fee + GST, higher for greater capacity EVs.
• Lost or damaged keys and tags, $50.
• Damages and restoration, stolen or missing property, excess cleaning costs (including smoke odours), late check-out fees and forgone rental due to the condition of the cottage or surrounds, $100 minimum.
• By accepting these terms and conditions, permission is granted to Boat Habour Pty Ltd to debit any of the above-mentioned charges to the guests credit card.
• Notification of excess charges will be forwarded to the guest by e-mail to the address provided with the reservation. Photographs will be satisfactory evidence in the event of dispute for any charges made under these terms and conditions.

17. Smoking is not permitted inside the cottages, in the hot tubs, or within the swimming pool fence.

18. Open flames are not permitted. This includes but is not limited to mosquito coils, candles, fires and charcoal burners.

19. Pets are not permitted.

20. Anti-social or offensive behaviour, drunkenness, aggressive or rude behaviour towards staff, illegal drug use and excessive noise are not permitted.

21. A bond may be charged at the discretion of management, at any time prior to, or during your stay. The amount will vary depending on the style of accommodation and may be up to the full amount of the reservation total. The likely form of the bond will be in a pre-authorised credit card payment.

22. Management reserves the right, without notice, to require any person(s)/group who contravene these terms and conditions to vacate the property immediately. In the event of an eviction, the accommodation is non-refundable.

23. Privacy: Information provided is only used to manage your reservation. We do not share private information with anyone, or any organization unless required by law.

24. This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the State of New South Wales courts. The Parties will attempt to settle any disputes in an amicable manner by conducting in good faith discussions first.
