Ever wanted to explore the glorious wonders of the Great Ocean Road but just weren't keen on leaving the comforts of home behind?

Problem solved. Warrnambool Beach Backpackers is the home away from home you've always wanted.

Owned and operated by Geoff Morris and Pru Luker, the Warrnambool Beach Backpackers is a step away from your more conventional backpacker establishment.

It's the little things that make the big difference, from the heated rooms and bus station to the licensed bar, pool table and welcoming atmosphere. You may never want to leave!

Only 300 metres to the beach, the hostel is perfectly situated for

the adventurous keen to dabble in some horse riding and water sports, or for the more sedate looking to just soak up the beautiful location.

There are many activities to partake in, some of them include:

You can take a bike ride along the new Warrnambool to Port Fairy Rail Trail. It passes through farmland in Port Fairy, Koroit, Illowa and Warrnambool and is designed to showcase the rural scenery of the Moyne Shire – an attribute familiar to many, but also very much appreciated by visitors to the region.

You can take a walk or ride along the Lady Bay Promenade,taking a short stroll to PickeringPoint and Thunder Point to watch the sunset and visiting Lake Pertobe Adventure Playground where there's lots of playgrounds walking tracks,boat rides, picnic areas and sheltered BBQ facilities.

You could hire a surfboard and catching a few waves along the shipwreck coast.

In the winter months you can also enjoy whale watching. Just a short drive from the hostel is the Tower Hill Reserve, a retreat for an abundance of wildlife including koalas and emus - the perfect guests to share a picnic.

Vanpacking option is to sleep in your own vehicle on our property. The price is based on MAX 2 PEOPLE.
Bookings for 1 person must contact hostel directly.
You can have use of our facilities also.
Check in/out times same for vanpackers check in no later than 10pm, check out by 10am
