Yeagarup Hut Standard Rate

Yeagarup Hut Standard Rate Book

Yeagarup Hut is a new initiative by the Department of Parks and Wildlife, a 4WD group camping facility enabling groups to enjoy the D’Entrecasteaux National Park, located between the Yeagarup Dunes and the beach.

NOTE: This booking system will book the hut for the dates you require - if you are unsure of total adults and children that is ok - you can let us know prior to arrival.

The hut is located around 45min drive from Pemberton township, on the south side of the Yeagarup Dune system; the largest landlocked dune system of their type in the Southern Hemisphere. From the hut is a 8km 4WD drive to the Southern Ocean and the mouth of the Warren River.
The Hut is located on a DPaW maintenance access track, inaccessible to the general public. As the river winds through to the coast, campers have the opportunity to swim, canoe, fish, 4WD and adventure with their family or group.

Access to the hut is by 4WD vehicle only. Groups and families using this facility will have to ensure that they have seats available to transport all the people camping at the hut and that the drivers are competent to drive offroad. 4WD tyres are required to be deflated to low pressures to enable access through the dunes. A tag along training opportunity is available to users wishing to be escorted to the campsite and through the D’Entrecasteaux National Park. Please note Ritter Road is a registered road so access to the campsite must be with registered vehicles with licensed, sober drivers; no unlicensed vehicle or bike may be used.

The Yeagarup Hut site has a large open group dining area complete with double commercial sink, large tables and room to move. Two large rooms come off from this area, suitable for bedrooms or storage as well as two pit toilets and a large bathroom (currently hotwater system is being installed to make life a little more comfortable). In front of
this area, a post and rail fence sections off tents from the carpark with paving, more picnic tables and a fire pit (seasonal) to make group camping and entertaining easy, accessible and fun in all seasons and in the majority of all-weather types!

Every season offers a new experience, from cuddling around your campfire in Winter, to Spring wildflower season, Summer swimming, fishing and seasonal marroning in the Warren River or to just simplyenjoy the amazing Autumn down south weather.

The Yeagarup Hut has pit toilets only and campers must carry in and carry out all other provisions including their rubbish. Tank Water is available on site, and rations are monitored. Drinking water must be bought in and is available from the main street of Pemberton (tap located opposite Pharmacy in RSL Park). Any toilet waste must be taken home as Pemberton is yet to have a waste dump installed.

The campsite is a perfect base to walk the Oilwell track to the Warren River. Mountain bike riding is also easily accessible through the forest trails surrounding the campsites however there is quite a bit of sand blowouts which make access to the river by push bike difficult. The campsite has a large car park suitable for off-road vans and trailers with off-road capabilities - however please advise us of how many vehicles and if they are towing a trailer or caravan when you book.
