The multi-award winning Silverstream Alpaca Stud offers a unique package of a farm-stay on a bed and breakfast basis but with a fabulous farm tour included to see and feed the rare alpaca. The FARM TOUR DEPARTURE TIME will be finalised once you arrive at Silverstream and at a time convenient to the guest.
This gorgeous property with its sweeping lawns and gardens bordering the Silverstream river, is just 10 minutes north of Christchurch International Airport
and 15 minutes north of the city centre.
Kaiapoi township is just five minutes away - plenty of shops and restaurants .
Silverstream is just a five minute walk to Lacebark Event and Wedding Centre.
There are two self contained cottages, each with two bedrooms, a bathroom, a lounge, fully equipped kitchen and dining room.
Each cottage sleeps a maximum of five guests - one bedroom has a Queen bed, the second bedroom has two singles and a rollaway can be supplied for the fifth guest.
Families just love the peace and tranquility and birdsong but it is the alpacas that leave that endearing memory of Silverstream Alpaca.
The highlight of this farm-stay is the guided farm tour to see and mix with the alpacas. Feed them, admire them and take plenty of selfies. They have to be one of the most adorable and inquisitive animals in the world - there are over 150 of them on farm in all colours. There is a small shop in which guests can purchase alpaca products made from the fibre of these Silverstream animals. Alpaca fibre is truly one of the most incredible natural fibres in the world - you will be sold on its silky soft handle.

FARMSTAY ON A BED & BREAKFAST BASIS WITH A FARM TOUR INCLUDED
The cottage has two bedrooms- one bedroom has a Queen bed and the other bedroom has two single beds and a rollaway can be supplied for a fifth person. A baby cot can be supplied if required. Also included in the cottages are a bathroom, lounge, modern kitchen and a carport. The kitchen has a hobbs, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and the normal crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.
The cottage opens out onto a patio that overlooks the alpacas housed in the nearby paddocks. ENJOY A 30 MINUTE, GUIDED ALPACA FARM TOUR - opportunity to feed and touch the alpacas and hold a baby (in season). This is an absolute highlight for most people - the alpaca is such an amazing animal and they are so inquisitive and friendly. They are great with children.
